We love reviewing cars, trucks, SUVs, crossovers, and more. It’s always fun to get a chance to drive the latest and the greatest and that’s why we were excited to be given the chance to test drive for the week the Hyundai Sonata Sport.
It’s a fantastic car with a nice smooth ride. It handles well, is responsive, and we enjoyed riding around town in comfort. Here’s a look at some of my favorite features:
As you can see there’s a lot to like about the Sonata Sport. While I showcased many of my favorites in the video, here’s a closer look as well as a few other great features in photos.
Great Handling, Smooth Ride, & Convenient Steering Wheel Controls
As I mentioned above we were pleased with the responsive and smooth ride of the Sonata Sport. The steering wheel controls are pretty typical but they are always convenient. The layout was nice and easy to use.
Push Button Start
One of my favorite inventions for vehicles in the recent past is the push button start. It’s always so nice when paired with keyless entry to be able to leave your keys in your pocket or purse, start up your car, and be on your way. One less thing to juggle.
Crisp, Clear Easy To Read Display
The display is easy to read and lights up well at night. I really liked how easy it made it to see if one of the doors was left open.
Sleek Center Console And Plenty Of Storage
This center console is well designed. See the little door underneath the climate controls? It is hiding a good amount of storage space as well as two 12V chargers and USB and Aux ports.
There is also a lot of storage between the driver and passenger seats.
Touchscreen GPS, Radio, & SiriusXM
The display screen is a touchscreen as you’ll see in the video above. It is very easy to use and intuitive. The Radio and SiriusXM can be operated through the touchscreen, the dial buttons underneath and on the sides of the screen, or through the steering wheel controls.
The rearview camera is wonderful too. It makes backing up so much easier. You can get a good look at it in the video above. I also like the rear traffic alert and blind spot monitoring. These are helpful features that I now can’t live without!
Dual Climate Control
Dave is always hot and I am always cold, so we loved that this car had dual climate control. We could each set the temperature for our side as low or as high as we liked. This made running errands and driving about town more comfortable.
Great Sound & Speakers
The sound is great and there are speakers aplenty throughout this vehicle. You can see the large ones here in the back doors. This enables those riding in the backseat to easily hear without having to ask for the radio to be turned up continually.
Roomy Backseat
The backseat is roomy and comfortable, especially for kids. Kora & Logan enjoyed riding around in the back of the Sonata Sport and liked that there are hidden cupholders in the armrests and pouches for storage in the seat backs. There is also a 12V charger in the back so everyone can keep their devices fully charged.
Spacious Trunk
We were impressed with how much trunk space there was in this car. Dave filled it up with bags of mulch and he couldn’t believe how many he could get in there. Of course that would have been a great picture! Since we didn’t snap that one, I put a large umbrella way in the back so you could see just how big and deep it is. Perfect for big grocery store trips, gardening projects, and even road trips.
We recommend to Hyundai Sonata Sport to anyone looking for a new car. It’s full of many great features, it’s fun to drive, and it’s comfortable, roomy, and has a great tech package.
Whether you are looking for a family vehicle to run errands or something comfortable to meet your travel needs, the Sonata Sport is happy to please.
