The 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport

We recently had the chance to test drive the Hyundai Santa Fe for a week. I always have a special place in my heart for the Hyundai Santa Fe. I remember the original models and thought they were a fun looking car, then my mom got one – a 2002 I believe, and I got to drive it around some. It always seemed like a fun car at a great price.

Fast forward 14 years and wow has the Santa Fe changed – and all for the better!Hyundai Santa Fe

We just had an opportunity to review a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport, after seeing all the changes up close, here are some of my favorite features.

Appearance

The new Santa Fe Sport has grown up. Inside and out, it looks mature and stylish. I love the lines of the Santa Fe, they make it look sporty, bold and fun to drive. It has made huge changes and improvements over the years.

Ride & Performance

I was shocked (in a good way) at the acceleration of the turbo charged engine (optional and 264HP). The gas mileage is right in the middle of the pack and you have drive settings to help you improve your miles per gallon. Steering can seem a bit stiff at times, but overall barely noticeable.

Blue Link is awesome, if you need it, it seems like Blue Link has it.

Family friendly

Huge sun roof goes to backseat is great for the kids and adults.  Stain resistant seats make car snacks worry free. The Santa Fe Sport is a perfect travel vehicle. There is plenty of extra storage space and the 2nd row also (in some models) can slide for a difference of over 5” of extra leg room or extra storage.Hyundai Santa Fe

StorageHyundai Santa Fe

I actually am amazed at all the storage space in the Santa Fe Sport. If you put the back seats down, you have over 70 cubic feet of storage space. For extra options the back seats have a 60/40 split and the passenger seat also folds down to help with any extra long objects.Hyundai Santa Fe

Hyundai has come a long way and is still improving all the time. Their SUV lineup is very impressive and the Santa Fe Sport falls right into the middle of the SUV options. Hyundai offers the Tucson – which is a bit smaller and also the full size Santa Fe. With these options and the Hyundai quality, I’m sure you will find an SUV that is perfect for you and your needs. When will you go test drive the Santa Fe?

This is a really nice roomy SUV! I like all the extras you get with this SUV, and I used to own and Hyundai and I think their cars and SUV’s are great bargains.

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog originally got its name because my husband, Dave, and I had two kids born a year apart. Back then, we always joked that “the kids were too wired and we were too tired.”

Fast forward to today—those two kids are navigating college life (how did that happen so fast?!), and our house is a little quieter. But the story didn't stop there. Now that I'm a 50+ mom and an empty nester-in-training, the definition of 2 Wired 2 Tired has evolved.

Today I'm wired for new adventures, Disney magic, smart technology, and unforgettable travel experiences and I’m completely tired of bad gadgets, boring trips!

Whether you're a midlife mom looking for the ultimate 50+ Disney World guide, planning a relaxing Michigan Lake Life getaway, organizing a college dorm packing list, or just looking for a killer recipe to enjoy with a great book, you're in the right place.

The chaotic toddler years might be behind us, but the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here. Let's tackle this next exciting chapter together!
