Coolibar Summer Wrap Review

If you follow me on Twitter and Facebook you may have read my recent posts about a dermatologist appointment that I was nervous to go to.

Coolibar Review

Coolibar Summer Wrap received.

About 3 weeks ago I found out that I had a precancerous spot that needed to be removed. I went for that procedure this week and thankfully it all turned out well. This incident however has made me much more aware of the importance of sun protection.

That’s why I was excited about the Summer Wrap from Coolibar.

I love that the wrap is sleek and sporty. It fits my style perfectly. I also love that the Fiji Aqua color is eye-catching and adds a beautiful bit of pop to my spring and summer wardrobe. Not only is the wrap trendy and stylish but it offers warmth on a cool evening and sun protection as well.

I always enjoy promoting Coolibar products on 2 Wired 2 Tired because they have a mission to provide high quality sun protective fabrics that are guaranteed to be the most dependable in the market. In our experience in working with them and reviewing various items from their online store we have found that they stay true to their word and produce fantastic, fashionable sun protective clothing.

Some impressive features of Coolibar clothing and sun hats include:

  • Protective, high tech fabrics with no less than 50 UPF (Ultra Violet Protection Factor) & 98% UV Protection
  • These same fabrics also keep you cool, comfortable, and fashionable

I was amazed to learn that their SUNTECT brand goes through rigorous testing where each fabric is washed at least 40 times and subjected to 100 hours of UVA/UVB rays. They have made a commitment to the consumer and will only offer items that offer ultimate protection not only when they are purchased but every single time they are worn.

My wrap is comfortable and keeps me warm on cool evenings or in air conditioned places. I also like that when I wear it out in the sun it not only keeps me protected from the sun’s rays but it also keeps me cool too. Unless it’s a blazing hot day, I can wear this and because the sun’s rays aren’t getting through I don’t feel overheated. This is wonderful and I look forward to wearing this wrap often this summer.

There’s also a pretty hook and eye closure at the neck to draw the wrap around you for more coverage at the neck. I prefer to wear it open but I can also see why this would desirable and imagine I’ll be using it here and there in the days and months ahead.

I recommend this Coolibar Summer Wrap to anyone looking for a stylish sun protective wrap. It’s cute, fashionable, and such a fun summer color that I look forward to keeping my skin safe this summer and looking good while doing so.

Any thoughts on how it holds up in intense heat and humidity?

Although I do slather myself with sunscreen when outside (EVERY DAY on my face and hands!), I’d love to try some SPF clothes. This wrap is gorgeous!

Love that color! I use sunscreen daily (even in winter) and try to remember to wear a hat. I haven’t tried sun-protective clothing, though.

I love covers, but it’s hard to find ones that you can wear when it’s warmer out. I’ll have to check out these ones, thanks!

That is such a pretty way to stay safer in the sun! My aunt dealt with skin cancer, and she has to be super careful now to make sure she uses adequate protection. I’ll have to show her these!

You must be like me in that you get cold in the A/C. I have to always carry a cover-up of some kind with me because of that. I really like the styling of that one too. It’s absolutely something I would wear! I need to check that brand out!
