Dave and I love going to the movies. We go at least once a month and would go much more often if it wasn’t so expensive. Kora & Logan enjoy the movies but not quite as much as we do yet.

They sometimes find sitting in a theater seat for the duration of a movie a little tough and at this age prefer to watch movies from the comfort of our couch at home. Which makes us all happy because not only is it a money saver but it’s a great way to spend time together.
Did you know when you visit Walmart Moviecenter you can watch trailers and exclusive videos? Sometimes watching trailers is my favorite part of the movie! I’ve said to Dave that I could honestly sit through an entire “movie” of trailers. I know it’s a little crazy but they always do such a great job with them that I find myself on the edge of my seat wondering what’s going to happen next.
Speaking of trailers, one that I stopped what I was doing to watch every time it was on was Silver Linings Playbook.
Bradley Cooper plays Pat Solatano who has moved back in with his parents after spending 8 months in a state institution on a plea bargain.
He’s lost everything but is determined to rebuild his life and reconnect with his wife. His parents want him to get back on his feet. He runs into Tiffany, played by Jennifer Lawrence, who is a bit mysterious and has problems of her own.
Tiffany offers to help Pat get back together with his wife if he’ll do something for her in return. As things start to pan out silver linings appear in both their lives.
It’s sounds like such a complex movie but very inspiring and the trailer reveals light-hearted humorous moments too. You can watch the Silver Linings Playbook Trailer here.
I’m looking forward to watching this movie soon, it will be a great night in for Dave and I where we won’t have to fight the crowds or pay outrageous ticket prices. While writing this post, I was interested to learn a bit of movie trivia as well:
Did you know…
- Silver Linings Playbook was nominated for 8 Academy Awards and it’s the first film to earn nods in all four acting categories since 1981?
- It is the first film to get the “Big Five” nominations which include Best Picture, Best Director, Best Writing, Best Actor, Best Actress since Million Dollar Baby?
- Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence spent weeks practicing the ballroom dancing routine?
I’m can’t wait for our movie night in and in the meantime, I’m excited to host the amazing giveaway below!
