How To Shop The Box Tops For Education Marketplace

Box Tops for Education gift card received.

We’ve been doing a lot of remodeling and various projects around our house. We’ve redone our kitchen, had a bathroom built in the basement, changed walls around on the first floor, knocked down our front porch and replaced it with a beautiful garden & sitting area. We even have hung window boxes, have painted, sanded, dusted, decorated, and more. While all these major changes have been going on Kora & Logan have been wonderful. Routines have been bumped out of place, schedules have changed, and they’ve never complained once.

So I wanted to do something special for them. Kora has been wanting to get new bedding for a while. She’s outgrown the sheets and comforter she’s had since she was 4. Logan was fairly happy with his but since Kora was asking he mentioned he would like a change too. I told them that we would think about getting new bedding for them soon and that’s why I was excited that BTFE sent me a $100 gift card to use on the Box Tops for Education Marketplace site and asked me to write about my experience with the site.

Kora was in Kindergarten last year and it was our first exposure to Box Tops for Education. The school collected Box Tops and would collect them throughout the year. They told the kids all about them and how they help bring in money for their school. So we started to collect them to help out as well.

Now that Kora just finished 1st grade and Logan finished Kindergarten they are experts at spotting a Box Top from a mile away!  Whenever they come with me to the grocery store they spend most of the trip on a scavenger hunt looking for Box Tops. When they find them they get so happy that it’s cute. At home they’ll help me put away groceries or be pulling something out of the fridge, freezer, or cupboard and excitedly announce when they’ve found one they didn’t notice earlier.

We enjoy helping out their school by collecting Box Tops and now that it’s summer and school is out we were happy to find that there is also another great way to help the school. The Box Tops for Education Marketplace.

Box Tops For Education MarketplaceI didn’t know until recently that you can still earn money for the school even throughout the summer & year round by shopping the Marketplace which has many major retailers.

Box Tops For Education MarketplaceHere are a few more of my favorites.

  • Sephora
  • iTunes
  • Carters
  • The Children’s Place
  • Justice
  • Disney Store
  • Toys R Us
  • Gap
  • Bed Bath & Beyond
  • Best Buy
  • …and many more.

I was amazed to see that they even have a number of travel sites and hotels including:

  • Hotels.com
  • Baymont Inn & Suites
  • Candlewood Suites
  • Priceline
  • Expedia
  • Busch Gardens
  • Sea World
  • Southwest Vacations
  • Travelocity
  • Wyndham
  • …and more.

I have to say when I first heard about the Marketplace I wasn’t quite sure how it worked. But it’s actually pretty brilliant and the steps to earn more Box Tops for your school are easy. Simply fill out a short form to sign up for an account on the Box Tops For Education Marketplace site. Input your address and pick your school. Then start shopping!

Box Tops For Education Marketplace ShoppingYou can click through any of the stores listed and it will take you right to their website. The shopping experience is the same as if you were going to go directly to the site. You then shop and make purchases as you normally would and a portion of your qualifying purchase will be donated to your school.

I was excited to see so many different stores on the site. I also thought it was wonderful that right on the Marketplace’s front page they list current deals and discounts. At the time of writing this post Land’s End was running a Summer Sale with free shipping on $50 orders and Kohl’s was offering an extra 20% off everything with a special promo code found right on the Marketplace’s home page.

I also like that you can type what you are looking for into a search bar or you can browse by category.

Box Tops For Education MarketplaceSince I was shopping for new bedding for the kids, I went to the Target site and typed in “Girl’s Bedding’ and list of cute options popped up. I called Kora over and asked her to look through the site to see what she liked. Within minutes she immediately fell in love with a cute purple stars and music bedding set so I ordered it for her.

It arrived in just two days and she couldn’t have been more excited. After a quick spin in the washer and dryer I put the new bedding on her bed. She was thrilled and has been so excited to hop into bed every night since.

Star BeddingLogan didn’t end up finding his bedding through the Target site but he did pick out Avengers sheets and comforter which he is thrilled about.

Both their bedding choices are adorable and fit them well. I’m happy we were able to do this for them and I’m glad we have the chance to shop through the Box Tops Marketplace whenever we are shopping online to earn money for Kora & Logan’s school. It’s such a simple process and an easy way to help out the school that I recommend it to anyone who does any type of online shopping whether it’s for kids, family, home, pets, travel, gift cards, daily deals, or for those looking for discounts and bargains. There are so many retailers to choose from and the process is so simple that I’ll be sure to check it out whenever we shop online.

What about you? Do you collect Box Tops? Did you know about the Box Tops for Education Marketplace?

I never know what to do with the box tops. I only eat General Mills cereals and find that I throw them away. I once called a school but they didnt use them. I will see what the marketplace is like. I love her Star comforter.

When my kids were in school we always did the Box Tops and I know my sis still does with her kids. I know about the marketplace, but I haven’t tried it, yet. I will try to keep it in mind the next time I shop online.

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog got its name because we have two kids born a year apart and my husband, Dave, and I always joked that "the kids were too wired and we were too tired!" :)

Fast forward a bit—now the kids are off to college (how did that happened so fast!) and since 2009, I’ve been blogging through the chaos, coffee in hand, finding the best in family, travel, and tech—because honestly, who has time for bad gadgets and boring trips?
