Kora & Logan love Despicable Me and we were excited to attend an advanced screening of the new movie, Despicable Me 2 which is coming out on July 3rd. The first movie was very funny (you gotta love the Minions!), touching, and even had a good sense of adventure. Steve Carrell as Gru is great. In fact I saw him dressed up and acting like Gru on Ellen the other day he was hilarious. If you haven’t seen it check it out here:

But on to Despicable Me 2. This movie looks just as funny as the first and in this sequel full of Minion mayhem, Gru has given up his despicable ways as a super villain to raise Margo, Edith, and Agnes. He’s settling in to his role as a family man and even retrofitted his lab to be a jam and jelly factory. He’s on a quest to become the perfect father when a top secret crime fighting organization knocks on his door asking for his help.
Gru is teamed up with Lucy a smart secret agent who loves to show off quirky gadgets and her own form of martial arts. Much to Gru’s chagrin, she often has trouble containing her overabundance of joy and excitement even while undercover. Meanwhile Gru’s Minions love to cause mischief nearly as much as they love bananas. They continue to be easily distracted, curious, unpredicatable, and plain old funny. In this sequel we are introduced to the Evil Minions who are purple with crazy haired mindless eating machines who even go so far as eating the entire refrigerator!

As I was watching the videos trying to pick one for this post, Kora & Logan watched with me. We had some good laughs at the clips and this one was probably their favorite:
