Last 4th of July we had a family get together and my mother-in-law brought over a vanilla ice cream and International Delight Vanilla Iced Coffee. The plan was to pour it over the ice cream and enjoy it for dessert. She said she had it recently at a pool party and it was amazing. I was excited to try it.

Ice Cream & CoffeeWe had had our picnic dinner and were about to grab the desserts including the Iced Coffee but suddenly our power went out. We thought maybe it was a little glitch, but as we headed outside many of our neighbors came out as well. Power was out in the entire neighborhood and it was 95 degrees.

Needless to say we were all boiling and it felt like we were melting but we managed. We decided to head over to get ready to watch the fireworks early since we couldn’t stay inside the house, it was just too stifling. The fireworks were incredible and we had a wonderful evening.

We were happy to see that when we returned home our power came back on. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect. Everyone who was visiting bustled around grabbing their things and headed home.

While we really did have a fabulous 4th of July there was one thing we forgot in the chaos of the power going out – to try the Iced Coffee and ice cream!

No worries though because I did get to make myself some soon after and my mother-in-law was right it’s an delicious combination!

Coffee & Ice CreamEver since then I make sure to have a container of International Delight Vanilla Iced Coffee in our fridge to enjoy it over ice or ice cream on a hot day.

International DelightI look forward to enjoying an iced vanilla coffee once I pick Kora & Logan up from school or for camp. It’s a great way to slow down and enjoy a few moments with the kids before they are off and running again. We’ve tried the other International Delight Iced Coffee flavors and Dave loves the Mocha. I think it’s delicious as well and I also enjoy the Original too. However, my favorite is vanilla. I’ve always been a vanilla kind of girl, my favorite ice cream is vanilla and my favorite add in for pancakes is vanilla.

That’s why I was inspired by my love for Vanilla and International Delight Vanilla Iced Coffee to create this Pinterest Board.

I was also interested to learn that International Delight is holding a fun “What’s Your ID?” contest right now with some amazing prizes including:

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog got its name because we have two kids born a year apart and my husband, Dave, and I always joked that "the kids were too wired and we were too tired!" :)

Fast forward a bit—now the kids are off to college (how did that happened so fast!) and since 2009, I’ve been blogging through the chaos, coffee in hand, finding the best in family, travel, and tech—because honestly, who has time for bad gadgets and boring trips?

So, whether you're searching for family travel inspiration, tech gadgets, or tips to enhance family life, you're in the right place because the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here!
