Quit Getting Tangled Up With Your Headphones

I use headphones a lot, I also get tangled up in my headphone cords a lot! As a stay at home Dad, I sit at my computer with my headphones on, primarily oblivious to the craziness that the kids are responsible for going on behind me or in the other room while they are home on summer break or after school. I also get tangled in them working out, traveling and other random times.

Koss Wireless Headphones

Koss BT540i Wireless Headphones received.

That’s why I was excited about the Koss, the BT540i Wireless Bluetooth Headphones.

I put them to use for about a week and used them pretty much daily to block out the kids, listen to podcasts, talk radio, music on Pandora and more. In addition to all the listening, Kora was able to make them look pretty cool too!

Koss Wireless Headphones

Upon first look, the Koss BT540i Headphones look pretty cool and comfy. They come in an awesome carrying case where the headphones turn in so they can be stored flat in the case. The memory foam and leather that goes around your ear is very soft and cushiony and fits the ear very comfortably. The thing that stands out most to me is that the headphones have a lot of flexibility, they turn easily and are able to fit to your head very well.

I admit, I am far from a musical expert, but these headphones sound good too. I have had other Bluetooth headphones and sometimes the music quality takes a bit of a hit, but I didn’t notice this with the Koss headphones. I was able to crank up the tunes and you could feel the bass in your headphones and the music was very crisp.Koss Wireless Headphones

I love how tech’d up the BT540i is, there are 2 microphones on the device, so as you are at your desk listening and working, you can answer a call right from your headphones. The dual microphones work together to reduce background noise so your voice is clear. I played around with a couple of phone calls and it turned out that I felt like I needed to speak a little bit louder for the other party to hear me clearly. This wasn’t too much of an issue to deal with.

There are other controls on the headphones for your convenience, you can control volume, tracks and manage your calls with the buttons on the headphones.

These are not noise cancelling headphones, but I am looking forward to using them on my next plane ride. The BT540i fits very tightly against your ears, so I think they will do a great job on a plane, and the memory foam makes them no problem to wear for a couple of hours.

A cool feature is the lithium-ion battery, it is stated to provide more than 8 hours of listening time on a single charge, I tracked it twice and got to 7 hours and 45 minutes and 7 hours and 35 minutes, so very close to their disclosed time. I am pretty sure that I may have missed a minute here or there throughout the day, but I was pretty diligent with the timer.Koss Wireless Headphones

There are a lot of great things to say about the Koss BT540i, they fit well, sound great, have a pretty good battery life, the look of the headphones is good, but the branding on each ear is a bit large and simple, but Koss has been around for generations and they do a lot of things right with these headphones, so the branding is another minor issue.

I am certain you will enjoy your experience with these headphones. You need to look into them if you are in the market for a quality pair of headphones, I like them and think you will too.

I could use a set like this. I am really impressed with the long battery life. Great review!

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog got its name because we have two kids born a year apart and my husband, Dave, and I always joked that "the kids were too wired and we were too tired!" :)

Fast forward a bit—now the kids are off to college (how did that happened so fast!) and since 2009, I’ve been blogging through the chaos, coffee in hand, finding the best in family, travel, and tech—because honestly, who has time for bad gadgets and boring trips?

So, whether you're searching for family travel inspiration, tech gadgets, or tips to enhance family life, you're in the right place because the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here!
