We recently retired and thought it would be fun to celebrate with a weekend getaway. We couldn't wait to get out of town on a road trip. That's why we were excited that the Columbus CVB to be gave us accommodations, admissions to activities, and meals. We've been sharing our experiences in a series of posts: Franklin Park Conservatory & German Village Guest House Columbus Ohio Trip Review On our last day in Columbus, we knew we had arrived at a wonderful place to eat when the ... continue reading...

Recently I wrote a post about how we are being overrun with zucchini. Our garden is doing well and we have more zucchini than we know what to do with. The good news is I've found lots of great recipes lately and have been enjoying giving them all a try. I'm not sure if my waistline agrees, but zucchini is a vegetable so no matter what it is in, it's got to be healthy right? I was excited about this easy and delicious recipe, it is delicious! Columbus Ohio Trip Review
Having recently retired my husband and I were thrilled to take a trip down to Columbus, Ohio and to experience all the city has to offer. We were provided with accommodations, some meals, and admissions for activities and our excited to share our experience. One of our first stops the second day of our trip was the Columbus Art Museum. Columbus Ohio Franklin Park Conservatory & German Village Guest House
Accommodations, meals, and activities were provided. It’s here!! The day Randy and I have waited for, for years. We are retired! There is nothing so rehabilitating as hearing “you’re the best," coming from these two young people. Especially, after years in the work force hearing, “you’re the worst." After spending 4th of July weekend with them, we ventured ... continue reading...
The Best Peach Crisp Recipe Ever
We had a couple of peaches that needed to be eaten within the next day or two, so last night I decided to make peach crisp. This one turned out amazing and was by far the best peach crisp recipe I've ever made! Sugary, but not too sweet. Our only complaint was I didn't make enough. We couldn't stop eating it and it was gone in minutes. Enjoy! Chop ... continue reading...

This not only knocked out a present for me, but it just so happened that we were visiting her parents on Father’s Day, and would you believe, Mom and Dad had recently had a ... continue reading...
