Minerals On A Mission: Fusion Primer & Foundation

It’s always exciting to see what’s out there in the beauty and fashion world and makeup is no exception. I love trying new makeup, it just adds a bit of excitement to my morning routine to open a new box or bottle, it’s a little like that new car smell but for your bathroom!

Mineral Fusion

Items pictured received.

A few years ago I was in search of a new foundation and powder. My skin had changed as I got older and what I was using wasn’t working anymore. I switched to mineral powder for both and have never looked back. I’ve always been impressed by the coverage and the natural look it offers. However it seems my skin is changing once again because it is starting to wear off by mid-day. So I have been on the lookout to try something new and that’s why I was excited about Mineral Fusion Primer and Foundation.

As a reader of 2 Wired 2 Tired you all know that I love products with a purpose as well as anything to do with giving back. I was very interested to learn about Mineral Fusion’s Minerals On A Mission. Mineral Fusion is very proud partners with the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV). The NCADV is a motivated organization that directly supports survivors of domestic violence, and operates a national campaign to raise awareness of this growing problem.

Minearal Fusion donates a portion of their sales to support the organization’s mission and they donate products to the NCADV’s network of shelters.

Isn’t that wonderful? On top of all that Mineral Fusion is now the #1 natural cosmetic brand proudly offering a smarter makeup which includes selecting effective natural ingredients, as well as making their products free of gluten, parabens, talc, artificial colors, synthetic fragrances, SLS, and phthalates. They never conduct animal testing, and never will, nor do they ask others to do so. They are committed to sustainability and utilize wind power, soy inks, packaging from recycled materials and packaging that is recyclable.

After reading all this I couldn’t wait to give the makeup a try!

Immediately the name of the primer caught my eye. I like the matte look so this was perfect. I also like that it states that it, “absorbs oils and minimizes pores.”

Mineral Fusion Mattifying PrimerThe back of the box details its benefits and how some of the ingredients work.

Mineral Fusion Mattifying Primer ReviewWhile this didn’t work for me, the good news is everyone’s skin is different, and it may work wonders for you.

Next up was the Mineral Fusion Minerals On A Mission Pressed Powder Foundation.

Mineral Fusion Minerals On A MissionThis looked wonderful and like just what I was looking for. I was sent a number of different shades which was nice. It’s great to see that they offer such a large variety of colors.

Mineral Fusion Review

I was happy to see that the box states it offers, ” A flawless coverage with a natural finish.”

Mineral Fusion Pressed Powder Foundation Review

Mineral Fusion Pressed Powder Foundation

I opened up the Warm 1 and patted it onto my face. I was very pleased with the results!

Mineral Fusion Makeup ReviewsAs you can see it offers lovely natural matte coverage and eliminates any shine. The color is great too. It adds a nice warm tone to my skin without being too much. I need that little bit of help after the long winter we’ve had here in Michigan!

Mineral Fusion Mineral That MatterI also like the compact the powder comes in. It’s a nice shade of brown and can easily slip into a purse. My favorite feature though (other than the powder itself!) is the nice large mirror which makes it easy to apply.

Mineral Fusion ReviewI recommend Mineral Fusion to those looking to try a new makeup line. The Pressed Powder is wonderful and I was excited to see it’s available at Whole Foods! I love shopping there and will now be adding Mineral Fusion makeup to my shopping list.

I have never used a mineral powder or a pressed powder foundation, I would really love to try this out. It is great that part of the proceeds goes to help out others.

First, may I say that you look beautiful! I love to wear mineral makeup when I can find one that works because it is so much better for my sensitive skin. I had no idea you could find this at whole foods and it is awesome that they support domestic violence.
