How To Easily Monitor Your Home Even While You Are Away

Kidde RemoteLync MonitorThe Kidde Remote Lync Monitor is a small 2.5″ cube that you plug into your outlet. It monitors your home and using your WiFi it will immediately alert you through the RemoteLync App if your home’s existing smoke or carbon monoxide alarms sound.

It can notify you through in app notifications, text, email, or a even phone call. You can also set up a network of contacts to be notified as well as call 911 directly.

Set up is easy:

  1. Take Kidde RemoteLync out of the box and plug it in
  2. Download the RemoteLync app from the iTunes or Google Play Store
  3. Set up your account in the app with contact info, wait for the confirmation email to come through, click the link using your mobile device, add your monitor using your home’s WiFi, and then run through some tests to be sure it can hear your alarms
  4. Breathe easier

The Kidde RemoteLync does not require any additional products or monthly fees. It works with your home’s existing alarms and uses your WiFi to notify you. It also uses patented technology to distinguish smoke and carbon monoxide alarms from background noise.

It is designed to work with all UL-approved smoke and carbon monoxide alarms manufactured after 1999. It offers coverage of 2,000 square feet.

    The Kidde RemoteLync would definitely give you some peace of mind while your away. I like that you don’t have to purchase any other products to go with it or pay a monthly fee for monitoring the system.

    I am loving this system for my son’s new home. It’s easy set-up is an added bonus as he isn’t all that technologically savvy to say the list. However, he lives in an area where this would be a huge Thanks for the great review and heads up!

    This is very affordable for $99 at Home Depot. Thanks for the link! It’s small, works with smoke alarms and unbelievably requires no additional monthly fees! This would be well worth the investment for peace of mind! I haven’t heard of this product before, so thanks for the very informative post!
