Kalahari Resorts Review

As an Amazon Associate/Influencer, I earn from qualifying purchases.

Kora and Logan love to swim. They’ve also been to a few waterparks and they had a blast.

That’s why we were excited recently to be provided accommodations, meals, park passes, gift cards, and welcome bag for a stay at Kalahari Resorts.

It was perfect timing because Kora’s birthday was Monday so it was a fun way to celebrate!

When we arrived we were immediately blown away by the size and beauty of our room. We had adjoining rooms and one had a living room, fireplace, dining room, full kitchen, full size refrigerator, whirlpool tub, and king size bed. The other room had two double beds, a mini-fridge and microwave. It was amazing and one of the nicest rooms we’ve ever stayed in.

Kalahari RoomWe enjoyed the large balcony and seeing the Outdoor Waterpark and the Safari Outdoor Adventure Park too. It looks like so much fun that we can’t wait to come back this summer to check it out. At the animal park guests can assist in the car e of animals, help prepare diets, feed them, assist in cleaning, and interact with the animals too. There’s also a Sky Trail Explorer Ropes Course with three levels and 48 elements spanning 750 feet. The Zip Line Tour is for all ages and soars 60 feet in the air and there are 32 foot Adventure Climbing Walls. Doesn’t that sound fun?!

Kalahari OutdoorsWe loved the room but were excited to head down to America’s Largest Indoor Waterpark to get swimming. There was so much to do. Right off the bat Kora and Logan were excited to see how tall were and what rides they could go on and what areas they could play in.

Kalahari RidesThen it was off to swim. They’re immediate favorite was the 12,000 square foot wave pool. About every 15 minutes or so the waves would start and to hear them laugh with excitement and to see their smiles while they swam and jumped in the waves was so fun.

Kalahari Wave PoolAs part of the Kalahari Blogger Kamp Out we were treated to a demo of the FlowRider where 50,000 gallons of water flow upwards each minute creating a 5-foot ocean-like wave. It was amazing to watch the guards bodyboarding and surfing. Some family members of the bloggers even got to try it out themselves. So fun!

Kalahari FlowRiderThere were so many places to play, swim, and ride in the waterpark. There was a Basketball Pool, Crocodile Cove, the Zip Coaster, Cheetah Race, Tanzanian Twister, Swahili Swirl, Kids Safari interactive play area, a lazy river, indoor & outdoor hot tubs, and more. We also enjoyed a cabana with tv, comfortable chairs, and a place to relax between swims. The Texlon transparent roof was amazing and allowed us to enjoy the sun’s rays whenever it made an appearance.

Kalahari WaterparkWhenever we needed a break from swimming we spent time in the Big Game Arcade Room. It’s one of the largest arcades in Ohio. Kora & Logan were so excited to get the chance to try their hands at Savannah Strike Zone Bowling and Madagascar Black Light Mini-Golf. They also had fun playing air hockey, claw games, and Doodle Jump (which was so fun, Dave & I couldn’t resist playing too!).

Kalahari ArcadeWe had a fantastic time at Kalahari Resorts and can’t wait to come back. While we are excited to visit this summer to check out the outdoor activities, visiting this time of year was fun and festive. We loved seeing the resort so beautifully decorated for the holidays. Kora and Logan even had a chance to see Santa and listen to a bedtime story read by Mrs. Claus.

Kalahari Holiday

Kalahari HolidaysIt was a wonderful weekend and we’d recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful family getaway.

OMG…I thought Ohio had just an awesome Jack Hanna zoo. That is so cool. I would be too scared to,go,down that slide, but love to learn to surf. Forget the kids, I want to go. Plus I love that you can play all day and don’t have to worry about getting too much sun and constantly re-applying sunscreen.

oh my gosh, that place looks so cool… given how long the winters are in Maine, and the fact that the kids and grandkids can’t wait to go swimming, this would be a way to keep them from going nuts until the summer comes. So wish I was closer!
