How To Make Sure Your HVAC System Is Ready For Winter

As an Amazon Associate/Influencer, I earn from qualifying purchases.

This fall has made me very happy. Just a weekend or two ago we had a 70 degree day and it was 65 yesterday and in the 50’s today. I’m enjoying it while it lasts. In fact, the 10 day forecast says we are looking at a high of 30 degrees pretty regularly soon. That’s Michigan for you! It can be 70 degrees one day and snowing the next!

Winter

That’s why it’s important to make sure your HVAC System is ready for winter. I was interested to learn that the experts at Sears can repair or replace your heating and cooling system in time for the holidays. We have been thinking of replacing our furnace because it’s very old and we want to make sure it’s ready to go when the cold weather arrives and it’s good to know that Sears can help with that as well as other HVAC upgrades.

I’m always looking for ways to save money and I’m excited about the promotion Sears is running right now:

  • $40 off HVAC Paid Repair or Paid Maintenance check, offer valid: 11/20/2016 through January 29, 2017

I’ve mentioned the Sears Home Services blog in the past, have you check it out yet? It’s full of tons of posts offering great advice and tips for home improvement and I’ve learned a lot from it.

In fact, here are some great posts in reference to HVAC:

  • Quick and Easy Fixes for Home Furnaces
  • Heating & Cooling System Self-Assessment
  • 7 Easy Energy-Saving Tips For Winter
  • 6 Ways To Winterize Your Home
  • Water Heater Problems & Troubleshooting

We’ll be keeping an eye on our furnace and that self-assessment mentioned above looks helpful to make sure everything is in working order. If something does come up we’ll be sure to use the $40 off because every little bit helps especially when it comes to keeping your HVAC system working and staying warm in the winter!

It’s smart to get your HVAC system checked out each season before you really need to use it.

I made sure that the HVAC system is fixed and ready and we are getting really cold weather and I am glad that I have a good furnace to help keep me warm.

Thank you for the informative posts. We also need to get our furnace checked before the cold weather decides to stay.

It’s been a warm Fall for us too. The past week it’s gotten cold which is a reminder to me to have our furnace checked and replace the filter.

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog got its name because we have two kids born a year apart and my husband, Dave, and I always joked that "the kids were too wired and we were too tired!" :)

Fast forward a bit—now the kids are off to college (how did that happened so fast!) and since 2009, I’ve been blogging through the chaos, coffee in hand, finding the best in family, travel, and tech—because honestly, who has time for bad gadgets and boring trips?

So, whether you're searching for family travel inspiration, tech gadgets, or tips to enhance family life, you're in the right place because the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here!
