Spring is finally here and we are ready to dig in as a family and get our gardens growing.

Home Depot Kids Workshop Instructions

I wrote recently about how much Kora & Logan like going to The Home Depot Kids Workshops and how much Dave enjoys taking them. It’s an activity they all look forward to doing together each month and the projects are always cute, creative, and fun.

This month’s workshop was perfect for this time of year – building kids herb planters. Kora & Logan love to help out in our gardens whenever they can so they were very excited about the idea of building & caring for their own herb gardens.

Having gone to a number of workshops in the past they were ready to start building right away. The workshop was well attended but Kora & Logan were still able to find plenty of space to work.

Home Depot Kids Workshop Herb PlanterThe planters were just challenging enough for them to need a little guidance with the screwdriver, but for the most part they were able to build them on their own.

Home Depot Kids WorkshopsOnce the planters were built they were excited to start painting.

Between these herb planters and our other gardens we’ve got a lot going on around here. It’s going to be a fun spring to dig in and see what we can get to grow.

Fast forward a bit—now the kids are off to college (how did that happened so fast!) and since 2009, I’ve been blogging through the chaos, coffee in hand, finding the best in family, travel, and tech—because honestly, who has time for bad gadgets and boring trips?
