These Easter egg decorating ideas are creative, memorable, and fun. From wrapping eggs in silk ties to making shaving cream Easter eggs you’ll find something on this list for everyone to enjoy.
One of our favorite family traditions is decorating Easter eggs and every year I look for new ways to do so. While we always have some eggs dyed in a traditional way, it’s fun to experiment and try something unique each year too. The first time we tried the silk tie method it didn’t work out very well. However we kept at it and this year my mom had the kids over for a few hours and their eggs came out beautifully!
We are looking forward to giving some of these a try. There are a few sparkly and glittery options on the list and I just can’t resist anything that sparkles! I’ve also always wanted to try decoupage too and I think Kora and Logan would really enjoy it as well. We’ve done a few crafts but never eggs. And Kora is in a tie dye phase so I know she would love to try this method as well.
I know Easter is around the corner so on to the list!

Aren’t those amazing? We can’t wait to try some of these methods. Not only is it fun to decorate eggs but we enjoy eating them too, of course! Some of our favorite ways to eat hard boiled eggs include as is or as deviled eggs and egg salad sandwiches. We don’t typically hide the hard boiled eggs but hide plastic ones with little trinkets inside. The kids look forward to hunting for eggs every Easter and I’m hoping this year the weather will be nice and we can hide them outside.
Happy Easter!
