There are so many amazing resources for the kids now-a-days, apps, learning sites and many more. However, for every one great site online, there are probably 5 sites that you don’t want your child to go on.KoalaSafe Features Internet Safety

We recently had a chance to review a new product which offers a solution to a ton of our concerns when it comes to having our children use the internet. KoalaSafe is an addition to your home network which provides you with all sorts of safeguards to help make you feel much better when your child uses the internet – whether it be a tablet, phone, laptop or desktop.KoalaSafe Internet Safety

KoalaSafe creates its own WiFi network, which your child will connect to. When they are connected to the KoalaSafe network, you will feel much more at ease because you get to set all the rules and parameters.

Does your child try to sneak in some extra screen time after you told them to stop? No problem with KoalaSafe, simply set a schedule for internet access and you their WiFi signal automatically turns off when you want it to.KoalaSafe Scheduling Internet Safety

Setting a schedule is the simplest thing ever, simply choose the device, select days and times for the internet to be available and for when it is turned off. These are now the rules and set times, so mom and dad are no longer the bad guy making the children get off the computer, tablet or phone.

The schedule setting process is great, limit the time and eliminate the glazed eyes, when our children are online too much they get tired, grumpy and are just tough to deal with until they are removed for a bit. KoalaSafe helps keep this to a minimum.

Is your child (like mine) addicted to YouTube? Well, KoalaSafe has a SafeSearch option for YouTube usage. This means no more following inappropriate links that show up on YouTube.

Our children used to think pop-ups were the coolest thing and clicked all of them. KoalaSafe allows you to block sites by category (think adult, or social media). Also, you can block apps by name, like any live streaming/photo or conversational apps, like SnapChat, YikYak and others.KoalaSafe Phone Display Internet Safety

My favorite and what I believe to be the most impressive aspect of KoalaSafe is the Parental Insights it offers. With Parental Insights, you are able to see what your child is doing during their internet time. Time spent on each type of internet site is tracked and shown to the parent in a nice easy to read chart. You can see what percentage of the device’s usage is spent on search sites, email, app stores, social media and more. This gives the parent the ability to discuss their child’s usage of certain sites, and even eliminate them as an option if they are causing concern or trouble. This tool is great because it opens up the ability to talk about internet safety and proper usage.KoalaSafe Parental Insights Internet Safety

KoalaSafe works on multiple devices and you are able to customize the experience for each device. You can extend times and open up more sites for the older children, while keeping the tablet that your youngest child uses much safer, giving you an experience that is totally customizable.

Overall KoalaSafe is a must for any family that has kids that want to use the internet. Which is just about every family now-a-days. It is important to set up limitations and KoalaSafe makes it easy to do this. You can get KoalaSafe on Amazon and start making your home a protected and safe home for your children.KoalaSafe Ports Internet Safety

Like many things, it’s a good opportunity to teach/learn about personal responsibility and making good choices.

This sounds like something I would really love to have. I love that it keeps your kids safer online and that the parents can see where they spend there time online.

This sounds like something we should have in our house. I wonder how late my son stays up while in bed playing on his Ipod! We try to limit what they do during the school week but you can’t be over their shoulder the whole time. Great review, thanks!

Thanks for the review of KoalaSafe. We have been struggling with internet safety for our grandchildren. There is so much scary stuff out there that this might be a good solution.

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog got its name because we have two kids born a year apart and my husband, Dave, and I always joked that "the kids were too wired and we were too tired!" :)

Fast forward a bit—now the kids are off to college (how did that happened so fast!) and since 2009, I’ve been blogging through the chaos, coffee in hand, finding the best in family, travel, and tech—because honestly, who has time for bad gadgets and boring trips?

So, whether you're searching for family travel inspiration, tech gadgets, or tips to enhance family life, you're in the right place because the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here!
