There are so many amazing resources for the kids now-a-days, apps, learning sites and many more. However, for every one great site online, there are probably 5 sites that you don’t want your child to go on.
We recently had a chance to review a new product which offers a solution to a ton of our concerns when it comes to having our children use the internet. KoalaSafe is an addition to your home network which provides you with all sorts of safeguards to help make you feel much better when your child uses the internet – whether it be a tablet, phone, laptop or desktop.
KoalaSafe creates its own WiFi network, which your child will connect to. When they are connected to the KoalaSafe network, you will feel much more at ease because you get to set all the rules and parameters.
Does your child try to sneak in some extra screen time after you told them to stop? No problem with KoalaSafe, simply set a schedule for internet access and you their WiFi signal automatically turns off when you want it to.

You can see what percentage of the device’s usage is spent on search sites, email, app stores, social media and more. This gives the parent the ability to discuss their child’s usage of certain sites, and even eliminate them as an option if they are causing concern or trouble. This tool is great because it opens up the ability to talk about internet safety and proper usage.
KoalaSafe works on multiple devices and you are able to customize the experience for each device. You can extend times and open up more sites for the older children, while keeping the tablet that your youngest child uses much safer, giving you an experience that is totally customizable.

This sounds like something we should have in our house. I wonder how late my son stays up while in bed playing on his Ipod! We try to limit what they do during the school week but you can’t be over their shoulder the whole time. Great review, thanks!
