Waterproof iPhone Case Review

If you are anything like me, your iPhone (or any smartphone) goes any and everywhere with you. This could mean climbing a ladder so you can clean the gutters or it may mean going for a ride in a canoe on the lake. In both situations your beloved iPhone is placed in peril! For me, and maybe you as well, this means that you need to take steps to protect your iPhone from your own recklessness.

Catalyst Case - Best Waterproof iPhone Case

Catalyst case received.

That’s why I was excited about the new protective iPhone 6 Plus from Catalyst. After a couple of weeks of ‘recklessness’ I am very happy with my experience with it. At first look, the Catalyst case that I reviewed was the Green Pop, it is a white case with neon green trim and it looks cool.

Catalyst calls this “the most protective case in the world.” The case is waterproof up to 5m/16+ feet and it is also designed to meet a Military Standard for shocks and drops. So this case is strong and keeps your phone safe, but it also looks good.Catalyst Specs

The main issue I have run into with other cases for my beloved 6 Plus is that they are so BIG. The 6 Plus is big to begin with and the protective cases tend to be thick and super bulky, they keep your phone safe, but also take up a lot of space in your pocket or purse. The Catalyst case is thinner than most of the other waterproof cases I have seen and it is still easy to hold in your hand and feels good in your hand.best iphone case

I believe the shock and drop proof features of the Catalyst, but I wanted to do one of the scarier things I have ever done to test it out. I took my iPhone on a canoe ride and put it to the test!Catalyst Lanyard

The Catalyst case kept my iPhone nice and dry, my phone was in the water for about 5 minutes and it worked just fine after retrieving it. I was able to make a call and hear and be heard perfectly fine.

So for waterproof capabilities, the Catalyst passes with flying colors. I was able to retrieve my iPhone very easily from the lake because I had what I jokingly call water wings for my iPhone. Catalyst also offers a Floating Lanyard, which looks like a mini parachute that attaches to your case, you can also attach the lanyard to your wrist during your adventure. The Floating Lanyard keeps your iPhone afloat if it falls into the water. Now you wouldn’t use the Floating Lanyard all the time, but if you are going fishing, canoeing, or any other watersport, you can easily clip this to your phone and you will be safe.

Take your iPhone in the water safely, paddle boarding, canoeing or anything you want!

I loved my experience with the Catalyst products and I know you will too. Catalyst offers protective cases for just about every iPhone that is still in the market, and even has a cool solution to keep your Apple Watch safe. Check out all the products on the site and keep your iPhone safe from all your reckless behavior!

This really sounds like a great Iphone case and one that I would love to use when out by the water and it will keep my phone safe from water damage!

That really is a cool case and it’s hard to believe just how waterproof it really is. My son is not very careful with his phone and he has lost a couple due to water damage over the years. So this would be ideal for him.

I like that it has a floating landyard! This would’ve been perfect for all of our summer outings!

Looks great. Now if it only came with an iPhone!

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog got its name because we have two kids born a year apart and my husband, Dave, and I always joked that "the kids were too wired and we were too tired!" :)

Fast forward a bit—now the kids are off to college (how did that happened so fast!) and since 2009, I’ve been blogging through the chaos, coffee in hand, finding the best in family, travel, and tech—because honestly, who has time for bad gadgets and boring trips?

So, whether you're searching for family travel inspiration, tech gadgets, or tips to enhance family life, you're in the right place because the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here!
