HuMn Wallet 2 Review

A high tech wallet? I know that sounds strange, but let’s get back to that in just a minute. I remember about 2 years ago, Tired Mom Tésa was making fun of my wallet. She said when I threw it down on the kitchen counter that it nearly dented the counter with a loud ‘thud.’ It was at this time, that I realized that a man’s wallet can be similar to a lady’s purse. Honestly, have you ever tried to pick up a mom’s purse? It can be more of a work out than going to the gym!

My wallet had reached that point, it was full of everything (except large dollar bills), receipts, credit cards, loyalty shopping cards, business cards, and more. So I decided to slim down my wallet, I went with a wallet that had a money clip on it, and not as much room for cards, so I ditched my fat wallet (which can also cause all sorts of back problems when you sit on it) for a slimmer wallet. Well, it was good and bad, the money clip lost its grip about 3 months into it, otherwise, I was really enjoying the slim/minimalist wallet approach.

That’s why I’m excited about the HuMn Wallet 2.

Now I mentioned high tech earlier, sadly this wallet does not charge your phone or make coffee for you, but it does protect you from something called RFID Skimming. RFID Skimming is oen of the newest dangers for those who carry their credit cards with them. Did you know that most credit cards also send some type of a radio signal? I know I have something called PayPass on a debit card and a credit card, this is where you don’t need to swipe your card, just hold it by the sensor and it picks up the signal and you are done. This signal is always being transmitted, not just when you wave it in front of a sensor. The HuMn Wallet is able to block those signals with their plates. This is how it acts high tech, the HuMn Wallet 2 is able to protect you from the latest type of hacking.

HuMn Wallet 2 together

I chose the carbon fiber exterior panels and an orange panel in the middle. I am able to hold all of my cards that were in my prior wallet, and there is also a strap which allows you to keep your cash, and other not RFID transmitting cards on the outside. If you have an ID or access card for work, you can keep in on the outside and not have to worry about taking it in and out of your wallet. This wallet was put together with a number of functions in mind. Which you can see, the HuMn Wallet 2 is actually smaller than my old ‘slim’ wallet, even when the old wallet is empty.

HuMn Wallet 2

I know that 3 plates and an elastic band look a little awkward at first, but this is very easy to use and find the card you are looking for. The HuMn Wallet comes in a variety of colors, and even a couple of different sizes, go check out HuMn Wallet and you can keep yourself safe from the next type of hacking that identity thieves use.
Product was received, the honest opinions are my own.

This is a unique wallet never saw anything like it. We have tons of business cards, I actually bought a file book for them for easy access

I have seen these before and wondered if they really work. I didn’t know that your cards are always transmitting a signal. This would be something my husband could use. I will have to check them out. It would make a nice Christmas gift.

My husband would like this since it is so thin and protects your credit cards. Great review!

It does look a little cumbersome and to be honest I just don’t think it is something that my hubby would use based on how it is designed. I love that it protects your credit card numbers and info from theft. But to have to take it apart and put it back together to use is just not something he would ever do even with the protection it offers. I on the other hand would def carry it in my purse.

I saw a commercial for these not too long ago and I much prefer seeing your review. I like some things about the wallet like the block on skimming.

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog got its name because we have two kids born a year apart and my husband, Dave, and I always joked that "the kids were too wired and we were too tired!" :)

Fast forward a bit—now the kids are off to college (how did that happened so fast!) and since 2009, I’ve been blogging through the chaos, coffee in hand, finding the best in family, travel, and tech—because honestly, who has time for bad gadgets and boring trips?

So, whether you're searching for family travel inspiration, tech gadgets, or tips to enhance family life, you're in the right place because the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here!
