I remember the Kia Sportage when it first came out years ago. It was such cool idea, a small SUV and since it came out right about when I got my driver’s license, of course I was picturing how cool I would look driving it!

There is plenty to love about the new Sportage. Once you get by the love it or could do without it front grill, you realize there is plenty to like. The Sportage offers you a lot of car for your money. There is value everywhere with the Sportage, offering many options at lower price points than its competition.
Certain models of the Sportage have a Turbo Charged engine which really gives a huge boost to the power of the ride.
Warranty – Kia offers a tremendous warranty – 10 year/100,000 miles powertrain and 5 year/60,000 mile basic warranty.
Handling – the Sportage is fun to drive (especially the SX with the Turbo Charged engine), it is very responsive and feels like it hugs the turns as you go.
Improvement Areas
Really, the only area I would like to see the Sportage improve is the miles per gallon. The Sportage is in the middle for miles per gallon compared to its competition. An improvement in this area would be great.
Verdict
The 2017 Kia Sportage would make a great addition to your garage, especially if you are on a budget and have a couple of kids. The Sportage is an excellent combination of safety, fun to drive and practicality. For a family, this is a great option
