Have you ever gotten to the end of your street or half way to your destination and have that sudden moment of panic? The question that lurks in your head “did I shut the garage door?” With the chaos of school, sports and after school activities, I find that this happens to me more than I would like to admit.

There is no way I can continue on, without knowing whether the door is safely closed. So I will immediately turn my car around so I can drive back by the house to check. 90% of the time the door is closed, but it’s that other 10% of the time that makes me turn around just to make sure. This generally makes us go from on time to late in just those few extra minutes.
That’s why I’m was excited about the Chamberlain Universal Smartphone Garage Door Controller is connected via my home’s Wi-Fi and downloaded as an app on my phone. When I have an “oops” moment, all I have to do is check my phone to see if the door is indeed closed.
If it is not closed, with a quick touch of the screen I can close the door from my phone.

The installation of the Chamberlain Universal Smartphone Garage Door Controller was incredibly easy. After using the fastening strips to attach the door sensor to your garage door, all you have to do is install the Wi-Fi Hub near your garage door opener. After that you connect to the internet by adding the Wi-Fi hub to your Wi-Fi network and then download the Chamberlain MyQ Home Control App. Then download the app and you are ready to use the door.
The hardest part of the installation for us was trying to remember the password to our homes Wi-Fi network!
I am so glad that we have the Chamberlain Universal Smartphone Garage Door Controller I know this will finally give me peace of mind when I leave our house.

I have never heard of a smartphone garage door controller before. I have issues about 4-5 times per week trying to remember if I closed the garage door after I left. This would be so handy. I would love to have one.
Everyone needs one of these if they have a garage door! An open garage door is a BIG invitation to burglars.
I couldn’t begin to count all the times we had to turn around to double check if we had closed our garage. The house we live in now doesn’t currently have a garage door opener, but you better believe when we get one, we will definitely be getting this!
