ZCan+ Scanner Mouse Review & Giveaway

Like many kids Kora & Logan love to draw and color. They will spend lots of time on one drawing, using their imaginations and even telling a story to go along with it. Dave and I love to see all this artwork and it makes us happy that they enjoy it so much. Their grandparents often want to see their drawings as well.

Zcan+ Scanner Mouse

ZCan+ Scanner Mouse received and one provided for giveaway.

This is a bit of a problem for my parents because they live in Michigan while we are here in Ohio. I’ve always thought it would be fun to email them image files of the kids drawings and that’s why I was excited about the ZCan+ Scanner Mouse

Once the ZCan+ Scanner Mouse software is setup on your computer, simply plug the mouse into a USB port and scan away. Here’s a video I made showing you how easy it is to use.

Isn’t that amazing? I love how crisp and clear the image is and that it can be scanned into either a .jpg or .png file. With the click of a button you can also insert it into a Word or PDF document.

Zcan+ Scanner Mouse ReviewThe scan to text feature is impressive too. You can scan text into an image, into a Word document, or even into an Excel document. I like that it puts items in columns and makes organizing text easier. I was amazed that I could scan the 5 points in the article in the video above and they were separated into sections in Excel. Very handy especially for those who deal with a lot of documents all day and need an easy way to organize the text on them.

Zcan+ Scanner Mouse ReviewsThe ZCan+ also comes with a small protective cover which you can use to put in an old photo so there is no risk of the photo being damaged in the scanning process. The mouse moves very smoothly and I don’t feel there is a real threat of damage however, it is very nice having the protective cover just in case.

I do have to admit that while the mouse came with a disc to use to download the software, I couldn’t get it to work on my computer. I reached out to tech support and didn’t hear anything back. Eventually I did get a download link and it took ages for the software to download. While all this was a hurdle, once I got over it I was very impressed with the features of the mouse and everything it can do.

Zcan+ Scanner Mouse FormatsI recommend the ZCan+ Scanner Mouse to anyone looking for a simple way to scan in images, documents, and even your child’s drawings. With just a few swipes of your hand and a couple of clicks of a button you can save the items to your computer and then send the documents off to your boss or the drawings of to Grandma & Grandpa. It’s one tech item that is sure to make our lives easier and a lot more fun.

I was also interested to learn Zcan+ Scanner Mouse has a WIRELESS VERSION that goes live on Indiegogo on Jul 29, 2014.

I’m excited to offer the giveaway below.

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog got its name because we have two kids born a year apart and my husband, Dave, and I always joked that "the kids were too wired and we were too tired!" :)

Fast forward a bit—now the kids are off to college (how did that happened so fast!) and since 2009, I’ve been blogging through the chaos, coffee in hand, finding the best in family, travel, and tech—because honestly, who has time for bad gadgets and boring trips?
