Kick Off Summer & #ReadAlong With YouTube Kids

This summer are you looking for a way to encourage your kids to keep up their reading? While Kora and Logan are little bookworms I am always on the lookout for fun summer reading programs
#ReadAlong with YouTube Kids This Summer

The YouTube Kids material pictured above were received.

The #ReadAlong with YouTube Kids mission to get kids excited about reading is a lot of fun and a great way to motivate kids to read.

During the month of June, publishers, authors, musical artists, and top creators have contributed over 100 new and original reading-related videos with a very captivating format – it’s called kinetic typography.

It’s the art of integrating text with movement. You can see an example here:

How fun is that?!

You can click here to download the YouTube for Kids App on Google Play or in the App Store.

Once in the app kids will be able to find videos from beloved classics to new found favorites.

All of the items in our surprise package are lots of fun and a great way to encourage the kids to keep reading this summer. Kora and Logan will especially be excited about the books from Simon & Schuster Kids.

#ReadAlong With YouTube Kids Simon Schuster BooksThey love learning facts and trivia and these books are writing in such a fun way the kids won’t even know they are learning as they read them!

On the Simon & Schuster YouTube channel kids can find book trailers, author interviews, fun and educational videos along with imaginative stories and informative content that foster a love for reading for all ages.

The Freckles channel was new to us and I was interested to learn that it’s a duo that started a band together with the goal of making family friendly music inspired and approved by kids.

#ReadAlong With YouTube Kids FrecklesKids will love the videos on their YouTube channel and will be bopping along to the beat in no time.

On the SpacePOP YouTube channel, kids will find an animated band of five teenage princesses who who disguise themselves as musicians to form a band to save their home planet and spread the message of freedom and joy.

#ReadAlong With YouTube Kids SpacePopDesigned for girls ages 8-12 their channel features music videos and digital shorts coming alongside their new music on iTunes and Spotify. They also have a book launching July 26th.

And how genius is this bookmark? Not only does it remind kids to read but it motivates them to keep doing so with the scratch offs for each day of the month.

#ReadAlong With YouTube Kids

#ReadAlong with YouTube Kids BookmarkAll of these items are a lot of fun and I know Kora and Logan will enjoy all of them this summer almost as much as they enjoy using the YouTube Kids App.

As a parent I love the YouTube Kids App because there are so many inspiring and educational videos that are done in such a creative way the kids find learning fun! There is also a lot of pure fun on YouTube Kids which the kids enjoy as well. The #ReadAlong with YouTube Kids mission is sure to inspire many kids this month and I look forward to Kora & Logan with their noses in books and in the app all summer long.

I’m always looking for great reading challenges for my kids during the summer, and this one is new. Thanks! And that bookmark is the coolest one I’ve ever seen.

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog got its name because we have two kids born a year apart and my husband, Dave, and I always joked that "the kids were too wired and we were too tired!" :)

Fast forward a bit—now the kids are off to college (how did that happened so fast!) and since 2009, I’ve been blogging through the chaos, coffee in hand, finding the best in family, travel, and tech—because honestly, who has time for bad gadgets and boring trips?

So, whether you're searching for family travel inspiration, tech gadgets, or tips to enhance family life, you're in the right place because the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here!
