Want To Sleep Better? Try The S+ by ResMed

It seems like ever since we had kids, we have been begging for an extra hour or 2 added on to every day. It seems like there is never enough time to get everything that we want done in “just” 24 hours. We have read and tried (with some success) the work smarter, not harder type of books and they are very informative and great.

S+ by ResMed received.

After Kora’s 9th birthday the other day, realizing it has been 9+ years of hoping for extra time, we have begun to think that maybe improving our sleep is the solution. That’s why I’m excited about the S+ by ResMed and there is hope to sleep better!

The S+ is a small cube-like monitor that sits on your nightstand and provides you with personalized feedback on your night’s sleep. This is a non-contact experience, instead of the common wristbands or wires; the S+ by ResMed monitors your breathing, body movements and your sleeping environment, including the room temperature, to provide feedback on how to improve your sleeping experience. When you first sync your S+ to your phone or tablet, you actually see a moving and live charting of your breathing (similar to a heart rate monitor, but it shows your breathing pattern). The S+ is pretty impressive – if you take a deep breath, you immediately see a spike on your phone, which is amazing.S+ chart

The S+ works with your iDevice or Android devices and provides you with an easy to read sleep score, along with analysis and interactive options that help provide you with a guided path to a night of better sleep.

There are a number of tools that the S+ has to help you out. Here are some of the features that will help you get a better night’s sleep, and maybe eliminate that desire for extra hours in the day!

Sleep Score – this uses all of the available information and measurements to deliver a daily sleep score of 0 – 100, in addition to Mind and Body recharge scores.

Relax to Sleep – Provides soothing sounds that sync with your breathing patterns to help you fall asleep faster and sleep better.

S+ Mentor – This delivers feedback and an action plan to help improve your sleep performance.S+ Mentor

Sleep Charts – This is impressive, you get customized, color-coded charts based on your sleep stages and a breakdown of your sleep session.

Mind Clear – You are able to record a voice clip or jot a text note, so you remember the things that are cluttering your mind, allowing you to clear your mind and get to sleep.

Smart Alarm – I love this one, you select a window of time so the S+ will wake you only when you have entered a light stage of sleep, which assists in providing more of a refreshed feeling in the morning.

With kids and work, it can be tough to get as much sleep as you should, the S+ allows you to take the steps to maximize your sleep so you can feel refreshed and recharged. My results from the first couple of nights show plenty of room for improvement for me. I am following the advice, and I look forward to feeling more rested in the near future!

Do you feel “rested” after your sleep?

What a great gadget! I like the features on this, and it’s contact free. I’ll have to tell my wife about this. Thanks for the great review!

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog originally got its name because my husband, Dave, and I had two kids born a year apart. Back then, we always joked that “the kids were too wired and we were too tired.”

Fast forward to today—those two kids are navigating college life (how did that happen so fast?!), and our house is a little quieter. But the story didn't stop there. Now that I'm a 50+ mom and an empty nester-in-training, the definition of 2 Wired 2 Tired has evolved.

Today I'm wired for new adventures, Disney magic, smart technology, and unforgettable travel experiences and I’m completely tired of bad gadgets, boring trips!

Whether you're a midlife mom looking for the ultimate 50+ Disney World guide, planning a relaxing Michigan Lake Life getaway, organizing a college dorm packing list, or just looking for a killer recipe to enjoy with a great book, you're in the right place.

The chaotic toddler years might be behind us, but the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here. Let's tackle this next exciting chapter together!
