I’m cuddled all in bed. Dreams roaming around in my mind. When slowly a smell begins to inch its way into my consciousness. It begins to tiptoe in slowly than build until my dreams are interrupted and I am awakened by a deep, rich aroma. Randy has gotten up and started the coffee.

I don’t know about you, but there is nothing like being awakened to the smell of fresh, brewing coffee and that’s why I am excited about Aloha Island Coffee. Their varieties are some of the most intoxicating coffee smells around.

Several years ago on a trip to Hawaii we were amazed by the difference in the coffee we tasted there and the coffee we found on the mainland. The freshness and lack of bitterness from beans just picked and ground was something we could never replicate at home no matter what brand we bought or coffee maker we used. Even those brands labeled “Kona” were not the flavor we were looking for.

Finally, we have found the taste and smell we were remembering, from the company Aloha Island Coffee! It is rich, deep and smooth. Best of all there is no coffee after taste. As much as I like coffee when I am drinking it, I don’t want to be reminded for hours later that I had some in the morning. With Aloha Island Coffee, that is not an issue. There is no lingering “coffee breath”.

Aloha Island Coffee was started in 2000 on the Big Island of Hawaii. In those 15 years they have never developed a production line. They are a family owned business that prides itself on the fact that every batch is only 31 pounds, not mass produced. All the beans are all natural and organic from private estates on the Big Island of Hawaii, Kauai, Oahu and Central America.

They have coffee pods that fit all makes and models of single serve pod brewers. They also have whole bean and ground coffees available. They have Kona Coffee, Hawaiian Coffee Blends, Arabica Coffee, Decaf, Espresso, and six flavored coffees. They are all described on their website but as an added benefit you can call them at 1-866-552-5642 and they will help you with your selection. I actually called to test it out and the phone was answered immediately by a very friendly woman. No numbers to push, just a pleasant friendly voice.

If you know someone who loves coffee, Aloha Island Coffee has several different gift boxes available, that would be appropriate for any occasion. It would be a great choice as a gift, one that would be thoroughly enjoyed. That person would think of you fondly every day when they sip that warm, smooth drink of coffee goodness!

Here are the varieties I tried and enjoyed. Click through the affiliate links for more info and to purchase for yourself or as a gift.

I’ve never tried this brand of coffee but the Hawaiian brands I have tried have been so flavorful. I’ll have to pick up some beans and treat myself to something different like this.

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog got its name because we have two kids born a year apart and my husband, Dave, and I always joked that "the kids were too wired and we were too tired!" :)

Fast forward a bit—now the kids are off to college (how did that happened so fast!) and since 2009, I’ve been blogging through the chaos, coffee in hand, finding the best in family, travel, and tech—because honestly, who has time for bad gadgets and boring trips?

So, whether you're searching for family travel inspiration, tech gadgets, or tips to enhance family life, you're in the right place because the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here!
