We’re Off To Universal Orlando Resort!

I’m really excited because today we are hopping on a plane and heading down to Florida.

We are going on a fun family vacation to Orlando where flights, hotel, accommodations, park tickets, meals, and activities were provided.

We are off to Universal Orlando Resort for a fantastic long Labor Day weekend!

We haven’t told Kora & Logan yet, we thought it would be fun to surprise them once we got to the airport. Just about 3 weeks ago or so they were telling us how badly they wanted to fly in a plane again. They are going to be thrilled when we pull up to the airport and tell them we are going to Florida!

This trip is going to be spectacular because we were invited along with 10 other bloggers and their families to visit Universal Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida. It will be amazing to share this experience with such a fantastic group

To prepare for the trip we watched Despicable Me the other night so we can be ready for the new Minion Mayhem 3-D Ride that just opened up this year. It looks like a fun ride full of laughs. Kora and Logan thought the minions were so cute in the movie and I’m sure this ride will be a hit.

Despicable Me Minion Mayhem Universal StudiosI’ve been reading parts of the first Harry Potter book to Kora & Logan and I can’t wait to see their faces when we enter The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and they see Hogwarts for the first time.

Blue Man GroupI’m also looking forward to staying at the Loew’s Royal Pacific Resort. It looks gorgeous and the pools are amazing. Kora & Logan will want to sneak swimming in whenever they can.

Loews Royal Pacific UniversalIt’s going to be a fun-filled, exciting weekend and I’m so thankful that Dave’s old college buddy can help us out once again to watch the house and the dogs. He’s great with the dogs and it’s so nice not having to be concerned about them at the kennel. I’m really looking forward to a wonderful weekend without any worries.

Having never been to Universal Orlando Resort before, I’d love some suggestions. Have you visited before? Do you have any tips or recommendations for things we should do or see?

  1. Oh my gosh, I have never been there. That is one of my goal before i die, I want to take my son there. It isn’t as easy when you live all the way in Kentucky. Lol.

  17. Wow, what an exciting adventure. And even better that Universal is supporting your trip. I want to go see Hogwarts someday too. I read all the Harry Potter books to my son while he was growing up (he’s now a college freshman) and we made a pact to visit there together one day. Maybe with his kids…in the far future – no grandkids yet!

  26. WOW! What a great trip! I recently visited Harry Potter for the first time (yes, I live here and it took me this long to get there). It was sooo much fun. I didn’t try the Butterbeer, but we did try the Pumpkin Juice – really yummy. Even K liked it. Have an awesome weekend!

  27. FUN! I’m totally jealous. Frozen butterbeer?! I want to go just to try that! lol. You will LOVE Blue Man Group – so much fun. I haven’t been to Universal in forever (like 10 years) so I have no advice for you, haha.

  28. No Way! My daughter would FREAK OUT if she saw your pictures! She’s quite obsessed with those little minions! lol. I had no idea they had such cool things at universal Orlando Resort! And the blue man group is always a favorite!
