As a parent these days I find myself constantly in a state of hurry up and wait. I hurry through the grocery store so I can get home and make dinner, only to find lines a mile long because only two registers are open and the self-checkout lines aren’t working. I hurry to get sick kids bundled up and to the doctor in the middle of winter, only to wait for ages to be called in. I hurry up and get to school pickup early, only to wait in a car line for a half an hour. Anyone else feel like this?
