Summertime! I love summer, the sun is out, we do everything outside, it is awesome! Even the food tastes better. One of my favorite meals to put together in the summertime is a flavorful salad, all those tasty flavors come together in a salad and taste incredible. I can tell you entirely – this salad is delicious!

Like most good meals, you have to find the ingredients. I like to start at our local Meijer, they have everything you need, including Tyson® Grilled & Ready Frozen Chicken. My favorite salad creation has to have some healthy protein and Tyson® provides a convenient and simple solution which is good for us and the family.

Now that we know we are making a chicken salad, we go for the rest of the salad. There are so many options and choices at Meijer, including the best topper – Wish-Bone® Italian Dressing. This dressing adds a nice pop to every salad, it is robust ad full of flavor and seasonings and best of all there is no high fructose corn syrup in Wish-Bone® Italian Dressing.

Of course I was able to find everything else I needed at Meijer, not only for this meal, but for my entire shopping list.

Now to put it all together!

The Tyson® Grilled & Ready Chicken Strips go great with everything, so I was thinking a nice summer themed Cobb Salad, some berries always taste delicious in the summer!

Prepping the Grilled & Ready Chicken Strips is fast too – simply warm them up for a few minutes in a skillet or in the microwave and they are good to go, so this wonderful creation can be put together in a matter of minutes.

Check out the recipe I used, and I highly recommend trying it out for yourself. Get creative, add or subtract whatever fruits you like, but keep the chicken and the dressing! This salad is a quick and easy option that will be loved by everyone. As an added benefit, when you buy Tyson® Grilled & Ready Chicken Strips and Wish-Bone® Italian Dressing together at Meijer between June 19 and July 2, 2016 you save a combined $2.50 when you use your mPerks. So now you can get this great meal and save money too – a nice double bonus!

This Summer Cobb Salad is an awesome treat, get to Meijer and try it for yourself!

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog got its name because we have two kids born a year apart and my husband, Dave, and I always joked that "the kids were too wired and we were too tired!" :)

Fast forward a bit—now the kids are off to college (how did that happened so fast!) and since 2009, I’ve been blogging through the chaos, coffee in hand, finding the best in family, travel, and tech—because honestly, who has time for bad gadgets and boring trips?

So, whether you're searching for family travel inspiration, tech gadgets, or tips to enhance family life, you're in the right place because the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here!
