Serta iComfort Directions – It’s The Little Things

As an Amazon Associate/Influencer, I earn from qualifying purchases.

As you know we recently replaced our old mattress. I’m embarrassed to say that it was over 20 years old! A mattress is a big investment and that’s why I am excited to work with Serta.

Serta flew me out to their headquarters, provided accommodations, meals, and a new mattress and adjustable base.

We have now had our Serta iComfort Directions Epic Mattress for a couple of months.

It’s been fabulous and has led to many wonderful nights of sleep. The entire bed itself is magnificent but what really makes it stand out are all of the little things that come together to make such a wonderful mattress. Here’s a look at some of my favorites.

ThermoCool Fabric

Serta iComfort Directions Epic MattressThis fabric is incredibly soft fabric that helps with heat & moisture flow on the surface of the mattress. I find it cool to the touch and I love the beautiful design as well.

EverCool Gfx Memory Foam

Serta Looking In A MattressI’ve always wanted a memory foam bed and this foam is top notch. Not only is it incredibly comfortable but I no longer wake up every time Dave rolls over. This foam is extra special too because it’s the world’s first premium breathable memory foam that features super heat-conducting graphene for extra comfort & it helps wick away body heat.

Cool Action Dual Effects Layer

Serta iComfort Directions MattressThis layer adds even more support and draws even more heat away from your body. Truthfully, when Dave heard that the Serta iComfort Directions Epic mattress was made of memory foam he was quite worried because he had heard how hot memory foam can be. In fact, he has used a few memory foam pillows in the past and found he was waking up often in the night because he was entirely too warm. Since having this mattress however he’s been pleased to find that he’s not sleeping as hot and he’s been very comfortable temperature wise.

Pods Gel Activated Support Layer

Serta Mattress Testing

This machine quality tests the edge of the mattress to make sure it is offering enough support.

Works with the ComfortLast Foam core to help provide extra support from the deepest part of the mattress as well as offering a firmer seating edge. This is nice because while at Serta headquarters I learned that one of the places to wear down the fastest on a mattress is the edge of the bed where you sit down to get in it and out of it. This layer adds extra strength in this area making sure it won’t break down quickly and honestly I find having the firmer support there makes it easier to get in and out of bed.

I was also interested to learn that the Epic model is the only iComfort Directions mattress to feature Cool Action Gel Energy Foam. This foam responds quickly to body pressure and offers deep down support. So the moment you lie down it helps the mattress quickly contour to you where needed to offer the most comfort. There’s also a superfine infusion of MicroSupport Gel in this mattress which helps enhance the natural cooling properties and provides extra support.

Serta Sheep on BedThose are just some of my favorite features of the Serta iComfort Directions Epic Mattress. There is a lot of comfort, support, and cooling technology built into this mattress and it’s all paid off. We’ve found that we both sleep better since having this mattress and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good memory foam. Stay tuned because in a few weeks I’ll be sharing with you some of my favorite features of the adjustable base including the massage feature, the magnetic remote holder, the built in bluetooth speakers, and more.

In have a good mattress, but boy did I get a back ache shopping for it. It was so boring too, but I a. Glad I found one and it has remained comfortable. It is a Serta mattress, and I like that I just have to rotate it, not flip it.

Just the top of the mattress itself looks very plush and soft. I love a soft mattress with good support – it looks like the memory foam is great support.
