One of my favorite memories of Christmas is my cousins and I all gathering around the front door clamoring over top of one another trying to see out the little window. All smiles and laughing non-stop we’d put all of our faces up to the glass scanning the night sky looking for the famous red blinking nose of Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer. We knew if we saw it he would be pulling Santa’s sleigh.

This is a sponsored post and books were received and provided for giveaway.
It was one of our holiday traditions and I love looking back on it and remembering the joy and excitement of those moments. Since becoming a dad it makes me happy to see Kora & Logan doing the same thing this time of year. I know there are others out there with similar memories and parents of children that love Rudolph as well. That’s why I’m excited to work with Macmillian Children Publishing Group holiday books below.

Did you know this year is the 50th anniversary of the first broadcast of Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer and that it is the longest running and highest rated TV special of all time? It’s always been a favorite of mine and Kora & Logan love it as well. I was intrigued to learn that to celebrate the anniversary there will be:
- A major tie-in with the U.S. Postal Service
- Tribute promos from CBS
- A collector’s edition DVD with new bonus material
- A new stage musical
- Theme park and in-mall entertainment
- A social media campaign (#ShineBright) that celebrates uniqueness in association with PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center
When the 6 new books arrived I was excited to see what a variety they were. They include a classic storybook, a picture book, a slide and find book, a lift the flap book, a “My Reader” book designed for beginning readers, and the first ever graphic novel starring Rudolph.
We enjoyed looking at each of the books and the Classic Storybook and Graphic Novel were immediate big hits with Kora and Logan. The classic storybook is beautifully designed and we’d be proud to display it and read it each holiday season.
The graphic novel is unique and a fun spin on the classic tale. The kids were enthralled to see the story they know so well presented in such a different way.
The slide and find and lift the flap books and the “My Reader” book are are all fantastic for those with little ones. I know when Kora & Logan were little they would spend hours with slide and find and lift the flap books.
It wasn’t too long ago that they were into early reader books and would have loved that their favorite Rudolph story was teaching them how to read.
This is a wonderful collection of holiday books and I recommend them to anyone who enjoys Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer. They would make a great gift either individually or together and one that would bring many smiles and happy holiday memories.
