Not too long ago I did a post sharing how you can get a delicious Thanksgiving Meal To Go to enjoy at home on Thanksgiving Day. While putting that post together I came across a number of fantastic chain restaurants that are open on Thanksgiving Day. Make sure to make your reservations early:

Here’s the list:

McCormick & Schmick’s – Their Eat, Drink, & Be Thankful menu sounds amazing. You can get a Roasted Turkey Dinner which includes Roasted Turkey, Butternut Squash Bisque or Walnut Mixed Greens, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Cornbread Stuffing, Seasonal Vegetables, Apple Squash Casserole, and Cranberry Sauce for $24.99. Kids 12 and under – $9.99. Menu items and prices may vary. Contact your location for more details.

Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse – Ruth’s Chris is offering a delicious Thanksgiving dinner for $39.95 for adults and $12.95 for kids 12 and under. The meal includes one of three starters including Chicken & Sausage Andouille Gumbo, Caesar Salad, or Steak House Salad, one of three entrees including Roasted Turkey Breast, Sliced Oven Roasted Turkey Breast With Homemade Gravy, Ruth’s Sausage and Herb Stuffing and Cranberry Relish, one of four sides including Mashed Potatoes, Sweet Potato Casserole, Green Beans, and Creamed Spinach, and Pumpkin Cheesecake and Vanilla Ice Cream for dessert.

Golden Corral – For only $12.99 you can enjoy a Thanksgiving Buffet at Golden Corral featuring Carved Turkey, Sliced Turkey, Fried Chicken, Rotisserie Chicken, Bourbon Street Chicken/Rice, Awesome Pot Roast, Meatloaf, Sirloin Steaks, Carved Glazed Ham, and Golden Delicious Shrimp. And that’s just the meat and seafood! There’s also Baked Sweet Potatoes, Sweet Potato Casserole, Green Bean Casserole, Corn on the Cob, Cornbread Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Baked Potatoes, and more. For desserts you can select from their legendary Endless Buffet including Pumpkin Pie. Pricing may vary. Call your local store for hours.

Maggiano’s Little Italy – Leave your Thanksgiving meal to Maggiano’s Little Italy with a 4 Course Family Style Meal in the restaurant or carryout a meal package to your place.

Lonestar Steakhouse – Enjoy their special Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner for $16.99 which includes 8 oz Roasted Turkey Breast Topped With Gravy, Dressing, Mashed Potatoes, and Cranberry Sauce. Punkin Cheesecake is also available for $6.99 and kids can enjoy the Littles’ Feast which includes 4 oz of Roasted Turkey Breast Topped With Gravy, served with Dressing and Mashed Potatoes.

Max & Erma’s – Enjoy Erma’s Homestyle Thanksgiving Dinner as well as Happy Hour Munchies from 4 pm – Close. Half Price Sangria Pitchers all day. Offers vary by location and check the site for participating locations.

Hometown Buffet & Old Country Buffet – Both restaurants will be open until 7 pm. Their Thanksgiving Day Menu features Oven Roasted Rotisserie Style Turkey Breast, Honey Glazed Baked ham, Carved Roast Beef, and more.

IHOP – A delicious way to start your Thanksgiving day would be at IHOP where you can enjoy their signature buttermilk pancakes. Another fun idea would be to stop in between shopping trips for for a frothy mug of French Vanilla or Swiss Mocha coffee.

Cracker Barrel – Join Cracker Barrel on Thanksgiving. They will be open 6 am – 10 pm with breakfast served all day. There will be a Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner & Full Menu available after 11 am. The Turkey Dinner with all the trimmings includes: Oven Roasted Turkey Breast, Cornbread Dressing, Savory Gravy, A Sampling Of Sugar Cured Ham, Sweet Potato Casserole With Pecans, Cranberry Relish, Your Choice Of Country Style Vegetables & Sides, A Beverage Of Your Choice, Made From Scratch Biscuits or Corn Muffins, and Pumpkin Pecan Streusel Pie With Real Whipped Cream. Adults are $10.99 and children are $5.99. You can also get Thanksgiving To Go.

Shoney’s – Leave all the cooking to Shoney’s and enjoy their Thanksgiving Buffet. They’ll be serving turkey, dressing, sliced ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, corn bread, and a free slice of pumpkin pie (with each buffet purchased).

Other places to check include locally owned restaurants in your area as well as restaurants in hotels.

Enjoy and Happy Thanksgiving!

WOW! There are a lot of restaurants open on Thanksgiving. That is nice to know since a lot of people do not cook at home and probably want an easy meal that is already prepared. I wonder what IHOP has for dinner.

I didn’t know this many restaurants were open! That is great to know, especially for those who need a place to eat or families who would rather not cook. :)

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog got its name because we have two kids born a year apart and my husband, Dave, and I always joked that "the kids were too wired and we were too tired!" :)

Fast forward a bit—now the kids are off to college (how did that happened so fast!) and since 2009, I’ve been blogging through the chaos, coffee in hand, finding the best in family, travel, and tech—because honestly, who has time for bad gadgets and boring trips?

So, whether you're searching for family travel inspiration, tech gadgets, or tips to enhance family life, you're in the right place because the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here!
