Hot Holiday Gift Guide: Refrigiwear Stylish Cold Weather Gear

Winter is right around the corner. In fact, this weekend we are supposed to be in the 30’s for the high, yikes! Though I shouldn’t complain. Not last year but for the two years prior we had unbearably cold winters – temps dropped to -20 below on multiple occasions and that wasn’t the windchill – it was the actual temperature!

Refrigiwear Women's Jacket

Refrigiwear jackets provided.

Life still goes on even when it’s that cold out and that’s why I’m excited about Refrigiwear Cold Weather Gear. I was impressed to read on their website that they make the world’s toughest, most dependable garments for protection from the cold. They manufacture the clothing with warmth, comfort, and safety in mind. Founded in the 1950’s, they have continued to develop new technologies and functional design to keep people warm.

Refrigiwear sent me the Women’s Insulated Soft Shell and as soon as it arrived I knew it would become my favorite winter jacket.

While I have always enjoyed watching the kids ice skate or go sledding in the winter, I confess that after awhile I often get far too cold and have to watch from the car. As soon as I put on the Refrigiwear Insulated Soft Shell, I knew this winter would be different. The jacket offers industrial strength warmth that is comfort rated to -10 degrees and a lining designed to reflect body heat to keep you even warmer. This jacket makes me so happy, I’ll be able to stay out and build snowmen with the kids and watch them sled and skate in comfort!

Refrigiwear CoatsI love that this coat is fairly lightweight too. While you can tell it is well insulated for warmth, it doesn’t feel big or bulky when it’s on and, in fact, I love it’s slim, trim, and stylish lines. It’s a good length too.

Refrigiwear Women's Winter Coat

Refrigiwear Women's CoatI was also excited to learn that it is:

  • Durable
  • Windproof
  • Water repellent

These are all important factors for staying warm on a cold winter day. I also love that there are velcro adjustable cuffs and  an inset soft-stretch thumbhole cuff that keeps your hands and wrists warm and helps create a wind seal from drafts. It will also be great for helping the kids make snowmen, no red cold wrists for me!

Refrigiwear Sleeves

The jacket also features a curved chest pocket and handwarmer pockets too

Refrigiwear also sent Dave the Men’s Extreme Soft Shell.

Refrigiwear Extreme Softshell CoatWhile I’m excited about how warm my Refrigiwear jacket will keep me, this one is comfort rated for warmth to -60 degrees!

Refrigiwear Men's Winter JacketDave will be ready for winter with this jacket. He can shovel snow, build forts with the kids, take them sledding, and have snowball fights with them and he’ll stay warm through all of it. Since this jacket arrived, he’s been talking about skiing again this winter as well.

Refrigiwear Extreme SoftshellThe Refrigiwear Men’s Extreme Soft Shell features:

  • Over 500 total grams of insulating power
  • A reflective interior to trap warm air
  • A double-zipper to regulate warmth
  • An adjustable waist seal to combat drafts
  • Water-repllent
  • 2 handwarmer waterproof pockets
  • Velcro adjustable sleeves
  • Extending sleeves with inset thumbhole cuffs
  • Reflective piping for visibility
  • Glove clip

Refrigiwear Extreme Softshell Reflective LiningWhen this jacket first arrived, we were amazed by how heavy it was – however it has a big job to do, keeping you warm to -60 degrees! We can tell that this jacket is well-made, durable, and will last for many, many winters to come and Dave can’t wait to get outside and enjoy the outdoors this winter without being cold.

This would be great for my sister and her family, I told her about your blog and shared this post with her. Thanks for the great review!
