Last January, Dave and I made New Year’s Resolutions to get into shape. While we both have had some good days and we even did a 4 mile mud run, we definitely could have done a lot better. With fall here we have been talking about joining a gym, a rec center, or a health club. We were thinking this might motivate us to be more active especially now that the weather has turned colder and any outdoor activity will be limited. Their goal is to make everyone feel comfortable when they walk into the health club. As a result they focus on the needs of first time or occasional gym goers. I’m excited about joining Planet Fitness. After having been away from gyms and health clubs for years, I can see why people feel intimidated but I like that Planet Fitness is a “Judgement Free Zone.” They really go out of their way to make everyone feel comfortable and welcome which is fantastic. I can’t wait to start my membership and experience it for myself. Some of my fitness goals include stepping up my cardio and start doing some weight training again. I’m intrigued by the express and ab circuits and the unlimited fitness instruction. It will be nice having some guidance in this area. I look forward to being motivated to go to the health club, to improving my health & fitness, and to being a good example for Kora & Logan.

$10 is a bargain compared to the places in my area. Apparently Gold Gym has been buying out gyms all over the country, which likely results in higher rates.
What an awesome deal! I wish there were a Planet Fitness in my area.
Great price! I have always wanted to join a gym but I have heard so many horror stories about them getting you in contracts and not letting you cancel memberships. That worries me! I don’t want to be stuck in a long contract.
