Is breakfast your favorite meal of the day? Then have I got a wonderful way to wake up for you. I’m excited to be a Kraft Foods Tastemaker and share this sponsored post. This month I’m focusing on brunch. At first I thought about making an egg dish. I know casseroles are always a hit and thought it might be fun to try a delicious omelet.

While browsing the Kraft Foods site I found some amazing egg recipes but I decided I wanted to find something a little sweeter. Then I scrolled onto Peanut Butter Chocolate French Toast and I had to try it.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Stuffed French ToastI was excited to discover how easy this recipe was to make. After melting a bit of chocolate and mixing it with peanut butter and a few other ingredients, I just spread it on to the bread and made sandwiches. Next I dipped the sandwiches in the french toast egg mixture and placed them on the griddle, flipping the once they browned a bit.

When I served them the kids couldn’t believe they were eating chocolate peanut butter french toast for breakfast. They’re eyes were wide and they smiles were huge. They took their first bites and our dining room was filled with “Yum!” and “Wow!” and “Yay, chocolate!”

I thought this was delicious too and look forward to making it again as a special treat. I didn’t serve them with any syrup and we all agreed it wasn’t missed. I was happy to see they were just as good when they cooled off and thought it might be fun to try to mix the chocolate with marshmallows one day. We’ve added this to our brunch and celebration menu list and can’t wait to make this again soon.

I like the addition of the spices. I might include a touch of ginger as well. I’d still go into sugar shock, but it would be worth it.
