Our Quest To Get Healthy

This post is part of a sponsored series for Socialstars; however the honest opinions are my own. Ad.

Recently, Dave and I have started a quest to get healthy.Dave & TesaWe’ve talked at length about how we would like to make changes and eat healthier. Right now things are awesome and we got lots of exciting things ahead! And we want to be at our best so we can enjoy them.

Our biggest downfall is not preplanning our meals. We have become a grab and go family, not so much with fast food, but more of, “I’m starving now, what can I reach in the fridge or cupboard to eat right this minute.”

You know how that goes. Once you start doing that you make poor choices and eat whatever is in front of you. Then you are too full and tired for a real meal and says to yourself, “I’ll make something healthy tomorrow.” This continues on and on in a vicious loop that’s tough to get out of.

However, we’ve made some decisions and have decided to make a real commitment to planning and preparing our snacks meals, eating healthier, and taking better care of ourselves.

It only makes sense that the results of eating healthier will lead to more energy, which will then allow us to have the energy to start working out again – something we both really want to do. Also, when you eat healthier you feel better and your immune system is strong, allowing you to fight off the common colds and flu.

That’s why I’m excited about the new Ricola Herbal Immunity Lozenges.

Ricola Herbal ImmunityThe Ricola Herbal Immunity Lozenges have herbs, ginseng and vitamins B6, B12 and C to boost immunity strength and fight fatigue. I was interested to learn that they are the first widely available immunity product in the U.S. that fights fatigue, while supporting the immune system.

One of my favorite snacks is oranges and they are high in Vitamin C, that’s why I was excited to see that the Ricola Herbal Immunity Lozenges have Vitamin C in them as well.

Ricola Herbal Immunity LozengesThe lozenges also contain no artificial flavors or colors and are free of genetically modified ingredients.

I was happy to see that they are available in two varieties:

  • Honey Herb
  • Citrus Herb

Ricola Herbal Immunity DropsVitamin C is a powerful antioxidant and it can contribute to a healthy immune system. So I’m excited to use the lozenges when I need them and to feel our diets with our healthy foods high in Vitamin C like: oranges, kiwi, berries, tomatoes, peas, and more.

The Ricola Herbal Immunity Lozenges are available in CVS, Walgreens, and Rite-Aid stores nationwide

We have always preplanned out meals. We plan them when before we do our grocery shopping so we know we have the ingredients. Planning our meals prevents us from going out to eat which not only saves us money but we eat healthier.

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog got its name because we have two kids born a year apart and my husband, Dave, and I always joked that "the kids were too wired and we were too tired!" :)

Fast forward a bit—now the kids are off to college (how did that happened so fast!) and since 2009, I’ve been blogging through the chaos, coffee in hand, finding the best in family, travel, and tech—because honestly, who has time for bad gadgets and boring trips?

So, whether you're searching for family travel inspiration, tech gadgets, or tips to enhance family life, you're in the right place because the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here!
