I remember one of my favorite things to do as a kid was make up adventures with my sister. We would either act out stories, use stuffed animals as our characters, or draw elaborate cartoon stories. As a mom it makes me happy to see Kora & Logan doing this now too. They can spend ages making up stories and acting them out. That’s why I am excited to work with the My PlayTown: Storymaker App. It’s an app that encourages children to create and build their own adventures using their own personal photos, drawings, and narration. It’s perfect for kids who love to make up stories and adventures.

My PlayTown AppI love that the My PlayTown: Storymaker app encourages children to use their imaginations to create and personalize stories. Kids can take their own pictures or drawings and put them in the adventures. They can also record their voice to narrate the stories as well. So fun!

The app is simple to use. First children begin the adventure by selecting a play set. They can choose from a variety of playsets including:

  • Pirate’s Treasure Hunt
  • Princess Party
  • Travel Around The World
  • Jungle Kingdom
  • Who Let The Toys Out?
  • What Do I Want To Be?
  • …and more

Some of the playsets are included in the download, others are available for $1.99 each.

My PlayTown PlaySetsNext they build their adventures by selecting characters. They even get to change the characters’ clothes, hair, and other accessories.

We love this app because it encourages kids to use their imaginations. It’s a fun, unique, and modern twist on for kids who like to make up stories and adventures. The app has a number of different stories to try which leads to lots of fun and creativity.

The My PlayTown: StoryMaker is available for Android & iOS and is free to download. The download includes 3 adventure playsets. Additional playsets can be purchased for $1.99 each.

This looks cool! Kids love dress up apps, and it’s great to see one other than just dressing up as the same kind of princess or rock star over and over. cool!

Thanks for the review, this is just the kind of thing my Granddaughter loves. I’ve go to check into getting this for her. She loves pretend play and this would be a perfect way for her to do just that.

How fun this looks, both of my Granddaughters would love to use this!

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog got its name because we have two kids born a year apart and my husband, Dave, and I always joked that "the kids were too wired and we were too tired!" :)

Fast forward a bit—now the kids are off to college (how did that happened so fast!) and since 2009, I’ve been blogging through the chaos, coffee in hand, finding the best in family, travel, and tech—because honestly, who has time for bad gadgets and boring trips?

So, whether you're searching for family travel inspiration, tech gadgets, or tips to enhance family life, you're in the right place because the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here!
