Family Financial Tips

Communities Can Offer ALittleHelp With Memorial Fund Assistance

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of A Little Help. The opinions and text are all mine.

Have you ever been down on your luck? It can be hard to ask for, but a helping hand is always appreciated. Now take that down on luck feeling and multiply it by a million, maybe two. Personal tragedy doesn’t work on a schedule and can strike whenever. Having to deal with it mentally is terrible, but the added stress of not being able to manage it financially can be even more draining.

I had a friend in grade school and his father was having a difficult time medically. Eventually, he lost his battle, but not before medical bills wiped out nearly every penny the family had. I remember our community and church stepping up and helping the family with expenses.

Having that extra mental strain of financial struggles is not something that anyone deserves to deal with on top of the already difficult tragedy of losing a loved one.

We are working with ALittleHelp to promote their community Memorial Fund assistance platform which is truly unique and can help those families struck with disaster.

While my friend’s family was helped by the community and our church, the unfortunate reality is that tragedies happen to good people every day. In far too many situations, the surviving family members of the family find out too late that there was no financial plan in place, or that the plan doesn’t cover all of what is needed in both the short and long term.

ALittleHelp is a community-funding platform where communities can provide support for their friends and families’ Memorial Fund in times of need. Unplanned financial struggles can be relieved and at the same time ALittleHelp also offers a platform to celebrate the lives of a lost one.

  • The process of using ALittleHelp is easy and only takes a couple of minutes. Here is why you would use ALittleHelp
  • Support goes farther because ALittleHelp doesn’t keep any portion of contributions—other sites can take up to 9% of your donation
  • Only cost is the standard Paypal transaction fee (2.9%) and per contribution fee ($0.30)
  • Solely focuses on memorial funds, where other sites support a variety of causes
  • Backed by a life insurance company with more than 65 years of experience (Legal & General America)

ALittleHelp can provide assistance with the short-term expenses like funeral and memorial service expenses. However, they can offer much more too.

  • Medical bills
  • Mortgage or rent
  • School/college tuition
  • Car payments
  • Child care

There are so many forgotten expenses after the initial shock of a personal loss, and community funding can help lessen the burden at the time and in the future for the family going through their difficult time.

ALittleHelp is sponsored by a group that knows a little something about helping families overcome difficult times. Sponsored by Legal & General America, a life insurance company that is part of the worldwide Legal & General Group. Since 1949, they have been committed to protecting families and communities.

They know first-hand that life insurance policies help families go on; policies can pay for the mortgage, put food on the table and make college dreams a reality.

Losing a loved is difficult, suffering financially as a result is even worse. ALittleHelp and Legal & General America are there to help ease the burden during those difficult times.

These are topics that no one likes to discuss, but when you have a family involved, being prepared and some extra planning is a good and necessary thing.

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog got its name because we have two kids born a year apart and my husband, Dave, and I always joked that "the kids were too wired and we were too tired!" :)

Fast forward a bit—now the kids are off to college (how did that happened so fast!) and since 2009, I’ve been blogging through the chaos, coffee in hand, finding the best in family, travel, and tech—because honestly, who has time for bad gadgets and boring trips?

So, whether you're searching for family travel inspiration, tech gadgets, or tips to enhance family life, you're in the right place because the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here!
