A Fun App That Teaches Kids About Shapes

Children today learn in such a different way than I did growing up. I had books, workbooks, paper and pencils. .

Gazzili Shapes Menu

This post is sponsored by GazziliWorld.

However today’s children have this amazing item called the iPad. Our kids are just drawn to it, we are careful to limit their time on the iPad, but when used properly, it is an awesome learning tool. That’s why I’m excited about the GazziliShapes app for the iPad and iPhone

Gazzili Games are awesome for your youngster’s growing mind, GazziliShapes focuses on . . . well you guessed it . . . Shapes! You can join the characters in the Gazzili Bunch and learn about shape recognition, following instructions and hand-eye coordination.

In a similar format to their other successful apps, your child will start their journey with one game and progress and unlock additional games after completing the prior ones. Of course you can always go back and repeat the games you have mastered.

GazziliShapes starts off with my favorite- PIZZA, your child will learn there are many shapes that make up a pizza, circles are peperoni, triangles are the slices, and so on. Successfully identify them all and you can move on to the next mini game in the pizza area.Gazzili Shapes Pizza

Throughout GazziliShapes, you and your child will learn about shapes all while playing games about cookies, necklaces, the circus, scuba diving and finish off your journey in a spaceship!

Our favorite game was the Circus portion. First you make Cleo the Cat jump through shapes by spinning the shape you are instructed to in front of Cleo, get the shape right and Cleo will jump through the shape and onto your lap! Next you get to have some fun juggling and then you get to tilt your iPad and balance as you walk on a ball and fill in spots with the corresponding shape!

After completing each game, you will fill in a portion of your Gazzili Fun Page. Complete all of them and your Fun Page is full and able to be accessed time and time again.

The GazziliShapes app is part of the GazziliWorld family of apps. All of their wonderful apps are available for purchase at the iTunes store, and are a great way to help feed your young child’s growing mind.

What is your favorite app for your child to learn along with?

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog got its name because we have two kids born a year apart and my husband, Dave, and I always joked that "the kids were too wired and we were too tired!" :)

Fast forward a bit—now the kids are off to college (how did that happened so fast!) and since 2009, I’ve been blogging through the chaos, coffee in hand, finding the best in family, travel, and tech—because honestly, who has time for bad gadgets and boring trips?

So, whether you're searching for family travel inspiration, tech gadgets, or tips to enhance family life, you're in the right place because the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here!
