Serta iComfort Directions Epic First Impressions

For the entire ten years of our marriage, Dave and I have been sleeping on my old double-bed from high school.

Airfare, accommodations, meals, mattress, adjustable base, and accessories provided.

It’s a beautiful set but the mattress was twenty years old. We never had enough room, we woke up throughout the night constantly, and the bed was lumpy, bumpy, and uncomfortable. That’s why I’m excited about our new Serta bed.

When the bed arrived the deliverymen had it in the house and together in under 30 minutes. It was impressive. We received two twin adjustable bases and two twin Serta iComfort Directions Epic mattresses. Here’s a fun photo montage of the assembly.

I was so excited to test it out that the minute the deliverymen left I hopped on. I immediately fell in love with how comfortable it is.

The mattress is made of the world’s first premium, breathable memory foam that offers a conforming comfort and temperature regulation. I’ve heard that memory foam can hold heat but this mattress is made with EverCool GFX Memory Foam and has a Cool Action Dual Effects that offers additional support and technology that helps transport heat away from the body. I was excited to learn that the Epic mattress is the only iComfort Directions mattress that features Cool Action Gel Energy Foam which responds quickly for enhanced comfort. The MicroSupport Gel also helps enhance the cooling properties of the mattress.

Lying on it for the first time I was amazed. It’s so cozy and such s a huge difference from our previous mattress! I loved the comfort and support it offers and while Dave does too, he also appreciates all the cooling technology. He is a very hot sleeper but hasn’t had any issues of overheating with this mattress.

We were also thrilled with the Adjustable Base. It has a wide variety of ways it can adjust to your preferred comfort level.

Can you believe it has a massage feature as well? Incredible!

I also love that they really tried to think of everything and made a magnetic area on the side of the base to hold the remote. There are also ports to charge your devices.

How handy and helpful is that?

Since having the Serta iComfort Directions Epic Mattress and Adjustable Base, I can say I’ve been sleeping much better. I used to struggle with nightmares and would wake often throughout the night. As a result my days were a fog of exhaustion. These past couple of weeks, I’ve been sleeping much more soundly and in fact more than half the time don’t even remember my dreams, which for me means I wake up much more rested.

Another added benefit is that this mattress has added some fun, quality family time. We all like to pile on during the day, watch a show or movie, and usually end up sharing a lot of laughs.
