Irresistible Fruit Salsa & Crispy Cinnamon Chips Recipe

Fruit Salsa & Cinnamon Chips RecipeWhenever we have a family get together in the Summer one of my mom’s favorite dishes to bring is Fruit Salsa & Cinnamon Chips. She chops all the fruit and makes the cinnamon chips by hand. It’s such an amazing dish that it’s usually gone within minutes. We enjoy it so much I thought I’d share the recipe!

Fruit Salsa & Cinnamon Chips

Irresitable Fruit Salsa & Crispy Cinnamon Chips

Ingredients

  • 1 pound strawberries
  • 1/2 cup of raspberries
  • 2 kiwis, peeled and diced
  • 2 Golden Delicious apples – peeled, cored and diced
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons strawberry jam
  • 10 (10 inch) flour tortillas
  • butter flavored cooking spray
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon sugar

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, mix strawberries, raspberries, kiwis,  apples, raspberries, strawberries, white sugar, brown sugar and jam. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  3. Using pizza cutter, slice tortillas into triangles. Spray each side of tortilla triangles with butter flavored cooking spray. Place triangles into a ziploc bag with the 2 tablespoons of cinnamon sugar. Shake the bag to evenly coat.
  4. Arrange triangles in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven 8 to 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from baking sheet and let cool on wire rack or counter top for 15 minutes at least.
  7. Repeat with any remaining tortilla wedges.
  8. Serve with chilled fruit salsa.

I recently tried to do something similar with pita bread and it worked just ok. Some pieces were so much thicker than the others. Your idea to use tortillas makes way more sense.

By the way, I mentioned your recipe on my blog today. Love it.

That’s an awesome idea. Just the chips by themselves are good. But even better with the fruit.

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog got its name because we have two kids born a year apart and my husband, Dave, and I always joked that "the kids were too wired and we were too tired!" :)

Fast forward a bit—now the kids are off to college (how did that happened so fast!) and since 2009, I’ve been blogging through the chaos, coffee in hand, finding the best in family, travel, and tech—because honestly, who has time for bad gadgets and boring trips?

So, whether you're searching for family travel inspiration, tech gadgets, or tips to enhance family life, you're in the right place because the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here!
