Fitbit One Review

FitBit One received.

It’s amazing what you can find at Staples.com. They have just about everything, obviously you can find all of your office needs. I was also amazed to learn that they also have a full line of tools available which will be perfect for my next home repair project that I’m sure I’ll start against the will of Tésa!  Staples.com even has some items to help you be more productive in the office by getting in better shape.

That’s why I’m excited about the Fitbit ONE, a wireless tracker and sleep monitor. The Fitbit One will measure your basic activity, think steps and stairs, and has many other great options. Why does Staples.com carry this you may ask, well I think an active in-shape staff of employees is a good start for a productive company, you know, motion creates emotion! Also, keep in mind, Staples.com carries just about everything.

My never ending saga to get and stay in shape has been given an extra kick by the Fitbit One, which is a wireless tracker and sleep monitor. The One is a small wonder, it’s about the size of a flash drive, and tracks how active (or sedentary) you are in a day, week, or month. It fits just about anywhere, it’s small enough to fit in that little goofy top pocket of your side pocket in your pants, or it also includes a clip to attach it to your belt, just make sure it is securely attached to you somewhere, and you are good to go.

FitbitThere are a number of items you can view on your Fitbit, but its full powers are shown in the online dashboard or the app for your iPhone or select Android phones.

You can set up a complete social network with the Fitbit One; invite your friends and certain reports can be seen. Tésa and I are doing this right now. We are both very competitive and I can see us each getting up to walk the kids to school in the morning just to get an extra mile in before the other one gets a chance to! Also, as you reach your goals, your One will send you badges and notifications, you can share these on Twitter right from your phone if you wish to connect and share your successes with others.photo (1)

You can also wear the One to bed and it will monitor your sleep and let you know how long you slept, and how many times you woke up.  It sadly doesn’t make you sleep better, but it can help you find out if you are having any sleep issues. Better sleep leads to a more productive day.

The One will also keep track of your calories you burn throughout the day, and you have the ability to track your weight and food intake via the app or online dashboard.

There are so many options with the Fitbit that you’d think it would be overwhelming but it’s not. The basic use of it is to see how active you are, and to help you interact with others to help you become more active to meet your fitness goals. We love it so far, and I look forward to competing with Tésa weekly in our “friendly” competition to take more steps to better health!

This looks pretty awesome. I am using an app now to track calories and it includes a small (very small) spot for exercise and such…this is much better.

My doctor uses the FitBit and recommended that I invest in one also. Her comment: “It is money well spent!” She even wears it inside her bra!

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog got its name because we have two kids born a year apart and my husband, Dave, and I always joked that "the kids were too wired and we were too tired!" :)

Fast forward a bit—now the kids are off to college (how did that happened so fast!) and since 2009, I’ve been blogging through the chaos, coffee in hand, finding the best in family, travel, and tech—because honestly, who has time for bad gadgets and boring trips?

So, whether you're searching for family travel inspiration, tech gadgets, or tips to enhance family life, you're in the right place because the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here!
