Fall Purse EssentialsIt’s been a wonderful summer! I can’t believe we are days away from fall starting. The temperatures have started getting cooler, some leaves are starting to change colors, and the kids are back in school. While I love summer, fall is always so much fun too with trips to the cider mill for cider and donuts, apple picking, beautiful fall foliage, and cozy sweaters & sweatshirts.

FallThis time of year is always a busy one too. The kids are both playing soccer and Kora’s games are now on a different day. They both have practice two days a week and a game as well. And they practice on different days too. So we are looking at 6 days a week of soccer this fall. The kids love soccer though and we enjoy watching them so we are as excited for the season to start as they are.

Soccer KickOn top of that now that, with the school year starting, we’ve had a lot of school orientations, meet the teacher nights, ice cream socials, and goal setting conferences added to our lists. As well as PTA meetings and I’m volunteering to help our a group at school that does a Make A Difference Day for the kids so we have meetings for that too.

I’ve been talking to lots of other moms at soccer practice and games and at all of these meetings and they are all saying similar things. This year really feels like we went from a casual, laid back summer right into the thick of everything. It’s exciting but it’s important to keep it all organized and that’s why I rely on my trusty fall purse to keep everything I need with me at all times.

Remember the old game show, “Let’s Make A Deal?” They had a mini-game where the host would run around the audience asking if women had certain items in their purse and then give them money if they did. I always thought it was a fun game, so I thought I’d share my fall purse essentials with you.

Fall Bag EssentialsFirst up. My phone. (Don’t you love how the case matches the purse? I do! Dave got me the case for Christmas and didn’t even realized it matched my favorite fall purse. That was a happy accident!) I don’t know how I ever managed without a smartphone before. While I use it for talking, texting, emailing, and making to do lists like everyone else, my absolute favorite feature is the camera. There are so many fall moments that I would have missed in the past had I not had my phone with me including beautiful lake sunsets like this.

Another must have that’s fairly obvious is my wallet. I keep all the regular things in there including a picture of the kiddos.

Next up is change. It wouldn’t be a mom’s purse if it wasn’t full of change, right? While it makes the purse a bit heavy, it’s great for surprising the kids when random gumball machines that pop up when we are shopping or slushies when we are at Target.

Another essential is my sunglasses. I never used to wear sunglasses when I was younger, but I now know how important it is to protect your eyes from the sun so I wear them all the time. Nowadays I feel lost whenever I forget them.

Fall Purse EssentialsI also always keep a couple of pens and colorful sticky notes in my purse. While I do everything on my phone these days, they are great to have when we have a few minutes to spare and I can play the kids in tic-tac-toe or give them paper to write or draw on.

With allergy, cold & flu season sneaking up on us I also make sure to keep some travel tissues in my purse at all times. I never know when Dave, I, or the kids are going to need them, but we are all very glad I have them when we do.

This time of year, I keep Ricola Herbal Immunity Lozenges in my purse too.

Fall Purse EssentialsThe Ricola Herbal Immunity Lozenges have herbs, ginseng and vitamins B6, B12 and C to boost immunity strength and fight fatigue. These herbs and vitamins are helpful during allergy, cold, & flu season and the ginseng can help with give you that bit of energy you need to always bring your “A Game.”

Did you know that Ricola Herbal Immunity Lozenges were developed by master herbalists in one of the world’s healthiest (and happiest!) countries — Switzerland!

I was happy to see that they are available in two varieties:

  • Ricola Herbal Immunity Honey Herb Lozenges
  • Ricola Herbal Immunity Citrus Herb Lozenges

Fall Purse Essentials RicolaThey are available in CVS, Walgreens, and Rite-Aid stores nationwide and are a fall essential for my purse. The Ricola Herbal Immunity Lozenges are small, convenient, and a great way to boost my immunity and fight fatigue during allergy, cold, and flu season.
