Recipe For Busy Weeknights: Easy Meatball Subs

I made a delicious and easy dinner using Johsonville® Meatballs as part of a sponsored post for Social Stars. The honest opinions are my own.

Johnsonville Meatballs

As a busy mom, I always keep an eye out for easy weeknight recipes. Both Kora & Logan are involved in after school activities and now that we’ve moved and school gets out later, the evening goes even more quickly. Therefore meals that can be made in minutes are a necessity in our house. That’s why I’m excited to work with Social Stars and Johnsonville on this sponsored post and to receive Johsonville® Meatballs. They are delicious, full of flavor, and can be made into a wide variety of recipes.

Recently I decided to make Meatball Subs. It was an easy recipe that only took a few minutes to make and were a big hit with everyone.

Meatball SubTo make them I simple heated the meatballs in the microwave by following the instructions on the bag. Then I put marinara sauce on a hoagie roll, topped it with the meatballs, more marinara, and shredded mozzarella cheese, then I popped each one into our toaster oven.

Meatball Sub PrepThey turned out fantastically and really hit the spot on a cold winter day. While I heated each one in the toaster oven due to our varied schedules that day, you can also heat them in the oven. That way everyone can eat at the same time. Or if everyone is running in and out, you can use a toaster oven to heat them up as needed. This convenience of serving one meatball sub or multiple is another great feature of Johsonville® Meatballs.

Meatball subsSpeaking of convenience I was very impressed with the ZipPak they came in. It makes it simple to cook a few meatballs and then press the packaging closed and zip it shut to keep the rest fresh while they are in the freezer.

Johnsonville Meatballs Zip PacThe packaging is easy to open too. No scissors required.

Johnsonvile Frozen MeatballsI was also interested to learn that Johsonville® Meatballs are made with only premium cuts of meats and spices. We like how flavorful they are and how they add a wonderful extra touch to whichever recipe we are using them in. We look forward to enjoying many more meals with Johnsonville® Meatballs. They’re flavorful, easy, and a great way to prepare a hearty and delicious meal for the family on a busy weeknight.

I have made these plenty of times and they really are awfully good! I like toasting the bun first an even making it like a garlic toast first then adding the meatballs sauce and of course cheese. Those meaatballs in the bag can be a great thing I have also used them in spaaghetti.
