Christmas Cookies: Cuisinart Cookie Press Review

As an Amazon Associate/Influencer, I earn from qualifying purchases.

While making Christmas cookies this year, I was asked to do a Cuisinart Cookie Press review. The cookie press was sent over and I couldn’t wait to use it! I had never used one before.

If you’ve been shopping at almost any big store or greenhouse in the last two weeks, you’ve more than likely noticed a mix of both Halloween and Christmas decorations reminding you that Christmas is only 65 days away.

You know what that means? Time to start thinking about holiday baking.

One of my favorite holiday traditions is eating baking Christmas cookies. And while I love to bake cookies, more often then not, they don’t like me to bake them! My cookies always seem to burn on the bottom, come out paper-thin, or far too large. No matter how hard I try, I sometimes think I was just not made to bake cookies.

However, this thought was recently challenged when we were sent a Cuisinart Electric Cookie Press for review. I have always wanted a cookie press and was thrilled to be getting an electric one.

So yesterday morning the Kora, Logan, and I set-up shop in the kitchen ready to practice making Christmas cookies with the new cookie press.

It was a lot of fun!

The Cuisinart Cookie Press was really easy to assemble and the nice thing is most of it came apart for easy washing. Putting in the dough was no problem and once we attached the tube to the motor and selected which of the 12 discs we wanted, we were ready to go.

There was a bit of a learning curve involved. It took a few tries to see just how much dough needed to come out to make the perfect cookie, but after awhile even Kora & Logan had the hang of it.

It wasn’t difficult either to switch discs either, so we were able to make a wide variety of cookies. There is also 8 assorted decorating tips which allow you to decorate cookies, cakes or even fill deviled eggs, pasta shells, and more. We didn’t get a chance to try the decorating tips yet, but they look just as easy to use as well.

Our cookies turned out pretty nicely. Yes, they were a little (okay a lot) large but it was our first time and I’m confident that the next time we use the cookie press, they will come out the right size and be shaped perfectly.

If you’re a big fan of holiday baking and enjoy making cookies, we definitely recommend the Cuisinart Electric Cookie Press.

Mine is operated by a squeeze handle – I love the idea of it being automatic.
I’ve always wanted to do the two-tone cookies, but alas, each try has been less than stellar!

I remember my mother had one of those when we were little. I love it and wonder how much they are now. I am off to check JC Penney’s website. Thanks for the great post!

I used to have an electric cookie press long ago, not a Cuisinart though. It died. Now I’m thinking after reading your review that I really need to get a new one.

That’s awesome! But every time I buy a specialized appliance, I use it a few times and it takes up space for years until finally I sell it. I learned with the breadmaker and chicken rotisserie just to stick with pots and pans!

I used to love making cookie press cookies with my Mom, have thought about getting on to used with my own kids, but just haven’t done it yet, really like that you get to make more than one design and all the other diff uses, thanks for the review–maybe this will make it onto my Christmas wish list.
