Cedar Point Halloweekends Review

We were excited recently to receive tickets to and accommodations at Cedar Point for Halloweekends and to stay at Hotel Breakers for the night so we could maximize our fun.

The park is decorated in fun Halloween decor and there were lots of themed activities and fun. It was a chilly and rainy weekend, which is to be expected in the midwest in October and it didn’t dampen our spirits a bit. We had a fantastic two days a the park and staying in the hotel and will be adding a return visit to our must do list for next year.

Here’s a look at some of the fun we had and why Halloweekends makes visiting Cedar Point memorable and fun for all ages.

We loved all of the creative decor throughout the park. One of my favorite things was the Old Ride Graveyard.

Halloweekends View From Sky RideWe had were happy to see there was a lot to do with little ones. Howl-O-Palooza was very cute. It’s an area filled with activities like a pony carousel, a cornstalk maze, a haybale maze, pedal tractors, a pumpkin patch, mask making, a foam pit, and even trick-or-treating.

There is also a fun parade called the Monster Midway Invasion Celebration where you can watch friendly monsters, fun floats, and more right on the midway. The parade is on Saturdays and Sundays at 5 pm and we recommend it.

Halloweekends ParadeMagical House on Boo Hill is a not-so-scary house for little ones with fun surprises around each corner. There’s also a Halloween Show & Kids’ Costume Contest for kids 54″ and under. It’s cute seeing the kids in all of their costumes for the contest and having fun at the park before and after.

Halloweekends Boo Hill

Halloweekends Boo HillThere are some fun family friendly Halloween Shows too. Slideshow – A Carnival of Magic has high energy dance combined with magic. Spooky Shenanigans – A Halloween Hullabaloo is a musical review that will have you tapping your toes. Skeleton Crew is our favorite show at Cedar Point. It’s like watching Cirque with trampoline bouncing skeletons, aerial acts, and other amazing acrobatics. It’s a fantastic show that’s not to be missed.

For those who like things on the spookier side Halloweekends has plenty for you as well.

Just some of the Mazes, Haunted Houses, and Scare Zones throughout the park include:

  • Hexed – witches of all shapes, sizes, and types are waiting for you in this haunted house full of steaming cauldrons, bubbling potions, and slithering surprises
  • Zombie High School – wind your way through the haunted hauls and creepy classrooms
  • G.A. Boeckling’s Erie Estate – this mansion is full of secrets guarded by ancient inhabitants seeking revenge
  • Eternity Infirmary – you don’t want to become the next patient at this infirmary
  • Eden Musee – a museum full of creepy wax figures, some even come to life

I was interested to see that the Fright Lane with Skeleton Key offers priority access to six haunted attractions. The key unlocks a secret extra room inside the five haunted houses. You’ll also receive a commemorative lanyard and collectible LED skull and crossbones with purchase while supplies last.

We had a fantastic time at Cedar Point and enjoyed riding as many rides as we could as well. Here’s a look at a few of our favorite ride photos.

Halloweekends Cedar Point CalypsoWe enjoyed our trip and would come back to Cedar Point for Halloweekends in a heartbeat. I love that they offer something for every age and it’s a great way to get into the spirit of the season.

Stay tuned for my upcoming post about our stay at Hotel Breakers. They are in the middle of a massive renovations and we were lucky enough to stay in one of the newly remodeled rooms. The changes to the hotel are going to be amazing!

Cedar Point Hotel Breakers Review »

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog originally got its name because my husband, Dave, and I had two kids born a year apart. Back then, we always joked that “the kids were too wired and we were too tired.”

Fast forward to today—those two kids are navigating college life (how did that happen so fast?!), and our house is a little quieter. But the story didn't stop there. Now that I'm a 50+ mom and an empty nester-in-training, the definition of 2 Wired 2 Tired has evolved.

Today I'm wired for new adventures, Disney magic, smart technology, and unforgettable travel experiences and I’m completely tired of bad gadgets, boring trips!

Whether you're a midlife mom looking for the ultimate 50+ Disney World guide, planning a relaxing Michigan Lake Life getaway, organizing a college dorm packing list, or just looking for a killer recipe to enjoy with a great book, you're in the right place.

The chaotic toddler years might be behind us, but the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here. Let's tackle this next exciting chapter together!
