Today is my birthday!

I’ve decided to set a goal for myself this year and a couple of nights a week when I go to bed I want to find something to look forward to the next day that makes me feel at least half this excited. I might end up more tired, but can you imagine how fun it would be to go to bed each night as if you were a kid again and it was the day before your birthday? It should be an fun challenge and one that will make me appreciate the little things.

    • No problem. Belated birthday wishes are just as wonderful as those on the same day. My husband always says my birthday lasts a whole week, so according to him you’re not late at all. I did have a fantastic day, thanks for the well wishes!

  17. I think birthdays are special – I know sometimes as adults we “play down” the birthday b/c we either don’t like aging or don’t want it to be “all about us” but i think that is a shame b/c that day is a special time to celebrate another year’s journey in life!! :)

  20. I <3 Lucille Ball's quote and its true that feeling you have as a kid is priceless. After you get older you don't want to count the candles on your cake and that's even if you get one. That is a bright side to look forward too.
