ASUS Memo Pad Tablet Review & Giveaway

As an Amazon Associate/Influencer, I earn from qualifying purchases.

As tech bloggers we love bringing you the latest and greatest in tech & gadgets.

Asus Memo Pad

ASUS Memo Pad Tablet received and one provided for giveaway.

We’ve had the chance to check out a variety of different tablets and are always excited to get the chance to bring you something new and innovative.

When the ASUS ME181 Memo Pad arrived I couldn’t wait to open it. I had heard great things about the launch of the ASUS Memo Pads and look forward to put it to the test.

Once out of the box I was immediately impressed with the size. The 8-inch screen is large and easy to read thanks to it’s 1280 x 800 display.

With its 178 degree wide viewing angles it offers clear all around viewing no matter how you hold it.

It also has a 8 mm bezel which gives you the illusion of a larger screen. These features are a big plus and make it great for reading, watching Netflix, interacting on social media, and playing games.

While the screen is large, I love how lightweight it is. It’s only 320 grams and as thin as 8.3 mm. It’s much lighter than many of it’s competitors which makes it easy to slip into my purse or a beach bag.

Other specs that stand out include the Intel Quad-Core Processor is powerful and fast and makes multitasking a breeze and entertainment fun. Also, the battery is long lasting and at 9 hours will get you through your day before needing to be charged again.

The Dual Speakers are powerful and direct sound toward you for easy and enjoyable listening.

I love that it comes in a variety of color choices to match your personality. It comes in white, black, purple, and gold.

I was impressed with the clarity in both the rear 5 mp camera with auto focus and the front 2 mp camera.  The ASUS Gallery also gives you a nice selection of photo editing, sorting, and sharing tools.

Asus Memo Photo Edit Screen

As a mom of two active kids, I’m very impressed with the All Smiles mode on the camera. You touch and hold the shutter button to take a burst of 5 photos. All Smiles then allows you to individually select each person’s best expression and then combines them into one perfect group shot. How neat is that?!

Another fantastic camera mode is Smart Remove. It easily removes unwanted moving objects from your photos. This is perfect for travel, when you want to get the perfect shot of that busy tourist destination.

One of my favorite video features is the Time Rewind. The PixelMaster camera automatically starts recording images two seconds before and one second after pressing the shutter button. During these 3 seconds, 31 photos are recorded, it’s a great way to make sure you never miss the perfect moment.

Another one of my favorite features is MiraCast. You can use it to share the Asus Memo Pad’s content to your large screen tv. This is great because it means we can look at the photos on videos on our television with the click of a few buttons.

The Anti-Finger Coating is great too. It resists greasy fingerprints and smudges. As a tech family, we often let Kora & Logan use our devices and as any parent knows, kids can leave fingerprints on anything! This coating helps cut down on smudges and fingerprints keeping the screen easy to view.

I was also impressed by the additional 64gb of MicroSD storage. The Memo Pad comes with 16 gb of onboard storage that can be supplemented with a 64 gb MicroSD card.

As you can see there are many reasons to love the ASUS Memo Pad and we have been so impressed with it in the time we’ve had it that we recommend it to anyone looking for a new tablet. It is lightweight but powerful, can fit in the palm of your hand and easily into a purse, and offers a number of fantastic photo, video, and entertainment features. It’s a device for the whole family and one that you’ll look forward to using every day.
