Yale Real Living Digital Door Viewer Review

You may remember that when we lived in our previous house we had an attempted break-in. I was home at the time and it was terrifying. I’m extremely thankful that everything turned out to be ok and we never had another incident.

However it has made me very diligent about home security and safety. That’s why I was excited about the Yale Real Living Digital Door Viewer.

Is your front door solid wood or does it have a teeny tiny peep hole to peer out of to see who is there? If so than this is the perfect product for your holiday wishlist.

What I like about the Yale Real Living Digital Door View is that you can install it easily and now you have a crisp, clear, large screen and can see who is ringing your doorbell or is in your yard.

Yale Door Viewer Reviews

Please ignore the terrible paint job here – we just moved and they apparently painted around the door knocker that was there before.

Not only that it has an impressive and wide viewing angle.

Yale Real Living Digital Door ViewerAs you can see here when the UPS truck pulled up to our house recently you can see most of our yard, all the way to the road, and even up and down the road a bit. And you can see it all clearly too!

Yale Real Living Door ViewerAs you can see the photo above is a snapshot of the UPS truck. You push a button and the Door Viewer takes a picture. You can then decide if you want to keep it for later reference or delete it. Brilliant idea! Especially if you have a concern and it helps to capture a photo. On top of that the images are stored in an internal memory and you can set it to snap photos while you are away so you can see who stopped by even when you are out.

Dave was impressed that the Door Viewer was so easy to install. He had it up in minutes and it wasn’t long before we had someone leave a flyer in our door handle. I saw them walking across the lawn and got up to check out the Door Viewer. It was so great having a wide view and being able to see so clearly who it was and what they were doing.

It even has a built in LED for assisted night viewing.

I highly recommend the Yale Real Living Digital Door Viewer to anyone looking to upgrade the viewing space of the tiny peephole on their front door. It has a number of fantastic features and would make a great gift idea as well.

Wow, that is a great security camera – not too intrusive from the inside either.

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog got its name because we have two kids born a year apart and my husband, Dave, and I always joked that "the kids were too wired and we were too tired!" :)

Fast forward a bit—now the kids are off to college (how did that happened so fast!) and since 2009, I’ve been blogging through the chaos, coffee in hand, finding the best in family, travel, and tech—because honestly, who has time for bad gadgets and boring trips?

So, whether you're searching for family travel inspiration, tech gadgets, or tips to enhance family life, you're in the right place because the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here!
