Is It Time To Replace Your Current Laptop?

Thank you to Intel for sponsoring this post, providing the trip to IFA, and the 2-in-1. The honest opinions are our own.

Last week at IFA in Berlin, the oldest and one of the largest consumer electronics show in the world, you couldn’t take too many steps in any direction without seeing product with the Intel logo. As an Intel Blogger, I had the opportunity to learn more about Intel as a company, and also what their latest technology is. At IFA Intel announced the release of the Core M Processor at their Keynote presentation. This Core M Processor will improve performance and energy efficiency in the upcoming 2-in-1’s and other mobile devices.

Enabling the best of both worlds – by combining razor-thin laptops with ultra-fast tablets, the Core M Processor will allow for a number of amazing Intel 2 in 1’s. If your laptop is even a couple of years old, you will want to see how Intel’s Core M Processor is redefining the laptop and 2-in-1 market.

The size of the Core M Processor uses a 14nm process to reduce the overall size and increase performance, energy efficiency, and eliminate the need for a fan. This means everything can be smaller, sleeker, thinner, quieter, and cooler. All these improvements will give Intel’s OEM partners additional room to be creative and this will lead to some great products.

The new 2-in-1’s with the Intel Core M Processor will make you forget all about your 3-4 year old laptop. Your new 2-in-1 will be thinner and lighter, perform twice as fast, improve the graphics performance by 7, the battery life will be doubled, and thanks to the energy efficiency it will be quiet, cool and fanless. Tons of improvements, but the coolest thing for everyone may be the 2-in-1 concept. You can use it as a laptop with a full keyboard, or use it as a touch based tablet. With the power to act as a fully functional laptop and the touchscreen tablet options, you can handle everything that comes up with one of these 2-in-1s.

With the Core M Processor improving the graphics performance of an older laptop by 7, this will be huge for gamers. The gaming industry is growing exponentially and the Core M will allow gamers to be more portable and game on the go!

To top it all off, Intel is concerned about the world too and is using green technology. These processors are lead-free and halogen-free as well, also the materials used are conflict free as well.

This Fall, Intel partners like Acer, Asus, Dell, HP and Lenovo will start rolling out innovative 2-in-1’s with the new Core M Processor. These products will be super thin, have detachable keyboards, screens up to 15 inches, and many other options that will allow you to do everything from work to play on them.

If your laptop is older than 3 years old, it is time to replace your current laptop with a new 2-in-1 with a Core M Processor; you will be impressed with performance and the prices, which will start under $600.

I have been checking out tablets and laptops to replace my laptop that has sticking keys. I have found so many errors after I have typed due to the sticking keys.

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog got its name because we have two kids born a year apart and my husband, Dave, and I always joked that "the kids were too wired and we were too tired!" :)

Fast forward a bit—now the kids are off to college (how did that happened so fast!) and since 2009, I’ve been blogging through the chaos, coffee in hand, finding the best in family, travel, and tech—because honestly, who has time for bad gadgets and boring trips?

So, whether you're searching for family travel inspiration, tech gadgets, or tips to enhance family life, you're in the right place because the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here!
