Samsung Video Baby Monitor Review

As an Amazon Associate/Influencer, I earn from qualifying purchases.

When Kora & Logan were babies we relied on an audio only baby monitor. At that time we thought it was wonderful and just couldn’t believe how clear the signal was and how well it worked.

Samsung SmartCam Baby Monitor

Smartcam Wi-Fi Video Baby Monitor received.

The biggest problem with it was we couldn’t see them through the monitor.

I remember many times hearing them fuss and wondering if I should risk going to check on them. It always seemed that no matter how little I opened the door to peek in on either of them, they would see me and immediately want to be picked up and nap time would be over or bed time would be delayed by two or three hours.

That’s why I was excited about the Samsung Smartcam Wi-Fi Video Baby Monitor.

This monitor has a lot of wonderful features including:

  • Video feeds can be viewed through pc, laptop, tablet, or smartphone
  • Notifications can be sent when sound or motion is detected
  • Built-in microphone and speaker for two way talk when using a smartphone
  • Night Vision
  • Video clips can be stored privately on YouTube and pictures can be uploaded to Picasa

Samsung SmartCam Video Baby MonitorI love that the video feeds can be viewed through so many devices. I’ve seen video baby monitors that have their own monitor that you have to remember to carry around. It’s nice that you can pull up the real time video right on your smartphone which is always by our side these days.

Samsung SmartCam MonitorI also like that when using a smartphone you can speak into it to console the child. I remember many times when Kora & Logan were little when they would wake up in hysterics for some reason or another. Racing through the house to get to them always seemed to take an eternity. It’s so nice that you can now speak right through your phone to the child to calm them down. This feature would also be very handy to use when they are older to remind them it’s bedtime without having to go into their room every time.

Samsung SmartCam AppThe other feature that I think is wonderful about this baby monitor is that video clips can be stored privately on YouTube. I remember when Kora pulled herself up for the first time. She was in her crib and I heard her talking to herself. Then suddenly there was a different noise so I went to check on her and when I peeked in the door I saw she was nearly standing.

I was so excited! I ran to get my camera but didn’t have time to get the video camera. I have a few photos of the milestone but would have loved to have been able to see this all on a video baby monitor and then record the clip and upload it to YouTube for memory sake and to share with family and friends. That’s why I recommend the Samsung Smartcam Wi-Fi Video Baby Monitor, not only will it give you peace of mind but it will help you capture and keep other unexpected precious memories as well.

Hey there! I’m Tesa, the mom behind 2 Wired 2 Tired. The blog got its name because we have two kids born a year apart and my husband, Dave, and I always joked that "the kids were too wired and we were too tired!" :)

Fast forward a bit—now the kids are off to college (how did that happened so fast!) and since 2009, I’ve been blogging through the chaos, coffee in hand, finding the best in family, travel, and tech—because honestly, who has time for bad gadgets and boring trips?

So, whether you're searching for family travel inspiration, tech gadgets, or tips to enhance family life, you're in the right place because the fun (and the coffee) is always brewing around here!
