How long have you had your current dishes? Are they in need of an upgrade? Most of the dishes we were using were from our wedding more than 10 years ago. We actually were using a combination of a couple of different sets and our dinnerware cabinet looked like a bit of a mishmosh. It was starting to drive me crazy. Whenever we had company people were eating off of different plates or we were constantly running out of bowls.

I decided last fall that I wanted to find some new dinnerware. I wanted something light and fun. Our set from ten years ago had a black/grey border with a corkboard like print on the inside. It was nice but just not cheery or peppy. I searched and searched for something brighter and that would make us smile every time we opened the cabinet or dished up our food. That’s why I was excited about the Novogratz Dinnerware Collection at Macy’s.
This set truly says happy. In fact, do you see that the coffee mugs even remind you to smile. How fun is that?
We all love the bright colors of this dinnerware and while it’s fun and festive it’s a wonderful high quality set as well. All of the plates, bowls, and mugs are made of ceramic and are meant to withstand a lot of use and still look beautiful while doing so.
Whenever we have guests now they often compliment the set and want to know where we got them. After my exhaustive search in the fall and winter for the perfect set I had the chance to compare many dinnerware prices. I’m happy that these pieces are reasonably priced. We liked the mugs so much we bought the four of them ourselves and would love to add the additional mugs, canisters, serving tray, and popcorn bowl to our collection as well.

These are so cute! I love the bright colors! I would love to get new dishes. Ours are about 10 years ols also and I hate that we are missing some pieces due to them getting broke. Maybe for Mother’s day. :)
